I agree with your entire argument on this so far, but a mushroom cloud is not unique to a nuke. Other high explosive events have them too.

I've long supported the idea of an independent Kurdistan but in reality that will never happen. Too many foreign obstacles are in front of that. The biggest being our NATO partner Turkey and second Iran would never allow it either.

We've already turned over the chessboard by destabilizing most of the ME already inspite of Iran and too a far lesser extent Turkey. Whats the harm of adding in a Kurdish state to the gumbo?
