ISIS planning a DC hit next

Oh lord - the convo was on the first page and I thought the comment CWV made was out of context - I commented on it based on how it struck me.

Now I have to defend my comment and take a tally of who agrees with what?

Sheeesh.

You don't have to defend anythingm. Hold your horses.

I'm just pointing out a thing or two that can be easily overlooked amidst the standard banter in these threads.

my first response in this thread

later

to which you replied

Not once did I discuss what to do with refugees or where or how to keep them. All I discussed was American Muslims. I also discussed American Muslims denouncing ISIS all over the place.

So yeah. If you wanna act like I'm the one who can't focus, sure. But it's clear that you're the one wanting to change the direction of discussion out of the blue.

I've already been clear. Very clear. I simply asked you a question. If you still don't understand go back and read. Your ignorance and lack of reading comprehension isn't my problem.

I want a dollar for every end of an argument you chalk up to reading comprehension.

Like, is it macro'd to your keyboard?

it's pretty easy to see that you quoted a question of mine with no intention of discussing what I asked (which, by the way, was a question prompted by a ridiculous comment made previously in the thread and supported by others)

is that too complex for you to understand?

I am going to disagree with your stance, as I feel you have have distorted what Muhammad actually taught versus what is the new perverted versions found within today's Islam. We can agree to disagree, as I'm not willing to engage in a long drawn out back and forth with you over this. Have a good day, sir.
I think you're distorting what is generally taught in today's Islam.

There's a westernized movement that is growing faster than ever. No one wants to notice because it fails to provide a ground from which to stage xenophobic hatred, but it's there.

It was already stated that it was to get your attention, nothing more. It was ALREADY STATED. Reading comprehension is your friend.

I'm reading every post. Say @crusse, I'll see it. Don't quote something that's a question without any intention of discussing that question. Pretty stupid to quote a question without any intention of discussing it, then get all pissy when the person who asked the question you quoted tries to relate your reply to the question asked.

Asking me how many refugees I'm gonna let crash on my couch when I'm trying to say that you shouldn't treat all Muslims as enemies is pretty much stupid, too.

You're doing really well in the stupid department right now.

This was already settled. Good god man. You won't host any refugees, they should be someone else's problem. Got it.

threads where posters get closer and closer to suggesting the extermination of all people of a certain religion shouldn't last too long anyway

I don't necessarily believe in the eradication of all persons of a religion. I will say the more extreme Muslims are the ones who adhere the closest to what is written in the Koran and the Hadiths. The only somewhat peaceful portions of the Koran are the earlier Medinan verses. Islam became more violent during the Meccan verses and onward through conquest. The underlying issue is the inflexibility of the Koran. It is not flexible. It is the word of Allah handed down through the archangel Jabril (Gabriel) to Muhhamed. The Muslims that you generally hear speaking out against jihadis are the ones who do not adhere as closely to their religion. They want to merge the western world with Islam. However, the western world is incompatible with Islam because it will never accept Sharia. Then again you have to wonder, Islam advocated lying to non-believers to propagate Islam. So are they lying?

I use that term every time I refer to one of these attacks.

But I understand why the government must be hesitant to make it religious, or at least religion-specific.

My friend, I would sincerely hope you are not trying to defend anything this President is saying or doing in this current situation.

You might as well back a three legged dog in the Kentucky Derby as opposed to backing this Administration. You'd have better odds on a win.

I don't disagree with your statement at all, there is significant western influence within today's teachings, as least to the extent to what is acceptable. This is more prevalent in areas that are more affluent than your rural regions. But there is a divide between how the religion is viewed and practiced depending on socio-economic status. It's usually( not always) your dirt poor farmers that hold the most traditional beliefs whereas the more affluent have began to adopt some (not all) western ways.

Meh. I liked them. I take a movie at its entertainment value. I find if I over analyze a movie (looking for problems) I didn't enjoy the movie and wasted my time.

I love all the rocky movies.

Except for 5. It was so bad, mullets and all.
