I’m his mom and that’s crazy that someone can make up something like that and post it ! That’s crazy!
Howdy Momma Montgemery.

He should be proud that he was able to earn a scholarship at UT. Not sure what happened.

Moving forward, don't allow him to be put in that position again. A kid with his size and speed combo could get offers from other Power 5 programs IF he goes Junior College (JUCO) for 1 year and balls out.

Pruitt felt strongly enough to give him a scholarship. Which means he has skills. For whatever reason he was under recruited.
If he goes to JUCO (Hutchinson, Blinn College, etc...) he will get offers nationwide.

For his development he needs to eventually go to a University that has an offense that allows the opportunity to play and actually catch the football. But with his size, he can actually dabble at RB and be a combo player. Many options for him as long as then grades are good.

But DON'T do the walk-on thing again. Because you're putting too much stock into that ONE univesity to give you a shot...

Have him be re-recruited through JUCO.

I just sent this to him this morning. He said that he has an interview or conference this morning . Not sure why they are doing that .

Exit interview perhaps. Or, just the process documenting the events that led to his decision to leave and going over disclosure procedures. OR, maybe they want him to stay, and they're just chatting about what can be done.

There's a lot that goes into giving a kid a scholarship, even if they came in as a walk-on.

So I recommend JUCO, which would mean paying out of pocket possibly depending on the financial aid? He would only have to be there that one fall semester or year.
Or, you can always reach out to lower division colleges and see if he can transfer directly and that he'll be put on scholarship right away .
