Isaiah Montgomery to UT as a PWO

While we are on the subject of PWO s, my neighbor kid just signed a letter of intent with UT. He is supposed to report to the athletic dorms in June of this year. I think he said he will be red shirted his first year.
He is an offensive lineman but, played both sides of the ball in high school. He is 6` 7" and weighs 315 pounds now.
He hails from NE Tn.
We wish him the best. We know his blood is orange.

A scholarship player? I don't understand. For football? Don't think anyone is signing scholarship letters now.

An loi is an agreement to provide a scholarship...so "speaking of PWOs wouldn't apply here".

This kid looks like a good PWO. Maybe we are just highlighting it more but we seem to have some really good PWOs coming in.

That is because it appears to be another area that was weak with the previous staff. You want your PWO's to be good enough to give your players a really good look. You also want to have enough potential to have one or two rise up and not only earn a scholarship but be a good player on the team.
