Is Wilcox the only one WILLING to leave?

What other assistants would want to leave the program? Thompson? Chaney? They could have left when Dooley came.

I'm just curious.

I think Wilcox is a good one and one we should keep. The D has a whole got better and made adjustments throughout games and seasons. Joseph on the other hand is not SEC caliber.
Heistand and Chaney need to be the first two to find new jobs. Cover story for Chaney- he got us through the transition. Now I am bringing in "my guy."
Don't know how this will work with the recruiting calendar but I hope Christmas comes early. We have talent.

Just heard on the radio that Wilcox is on several lists out west. No specific school was menioned. Be truthful with yourself, would you stay with CDD if you had a sure thing somewhere else?

Truthfully, no. Wilcox should leave if he gets a good opportunity; it would be what's best for him, and I wouldn't blame him at all.

I agree with this sentiment. This question isn't directed to you, but you made the point. If it's what's best for him, why does Kiffin get such a bad rap? People can't accept TN isn't what's best for everybody?

Totally different situation. Kiffin wasn't in a pathetic situation. Wilcox is. He's in a situation where the coaching staff he's apart of is at a high risk of being fired in a year. He'd be nuts to not try to move on, I think. The Kiffin situation was not like that.

I think what makes me worry is what Dooley said after the game. "Its really disappointing" Really? Thats it? Disappointing? He should have came into that post-game con fired up. What he should have said was "I'm pissed!" "This is inexcusable!" and it will never happen again as long as I'm the coach at TN. He also said that he "Hoped" that it wouldn't happen again....lol unbelievable that our coach says that. Where is the determination? confidence? It seems to me by his chosen words that he doesn't know the first thing about coaching , which is why he gets ZERO respect!

Hart won't hire a "nobody". His job depends on a successful hire. He will get a "big splash" if needed. That's the SAFER bet.The West is LOADED with successful "branded" type coaches. The east only has Spurrier and maybe Richt. Muschump needs to prove himself.

Hart didn't hire Dooley. He can EASILY ride the Dooley train until the "big hire" comes calling for the TN job. That's what will happen.

Also, I'm a big believer that Hart was a big player in the SEC expansion. That's the only reason why he was hired. He didn't have to jump ship from Alabama. He was basically the man in charge.

Tennessee will hire a big boy and Slive will make sure of it. It's just another way of saying "SEC is the best Conference EVER"
So until the "big boy" comes, we have Dooley.

None, they all owe too much in outstanding campus tickets and cannot leave until paid off. Two years minimum pmt plan.
