Is this not a recruiting violation?

Is it strange that we won't wear an alternate? I wonder if something is in the works.

Looks like they went to a yard sale in Starkville, Mississippi.

Recruits take photographs in game jersey's at EVERY school. There was no rules broken. It is common practice, even in Tennessee!

Yes in uniforms that have already been worn. This is a brand new uni never to see the field, could be a lil different

Who cares if it's a violation. After the beat down we put on them he's never gonna want too put on a VT uniform again.

Yea..maybe, but I highly doubt it. I would assume that compliance would be on top of their game and not allow this to happen, if it was a violation.

Wearing the jersey isn't a violation. That's part of the recruiting hype at most schools. I didn't think recruits were allowed to wear the full uniform - pads, helmet, pants, etc. - though.

Either way it won't matter to UT next year unless y'all were recruiting the kid, too. It won't matter what unis UT wears either. UT's the better team regardless of uni swag.

I will say that it's odd that schools cannot create game day atmospheres (I think I ready that we got in trouble for letting recruits walk out of the tunnel with smoke/dry ice?). Wouldn't putting on a full uniform with helmet be creating a game like situation/atmosphere?

IDK all the rules changes that happened this year, but do know there was a ton changed. From what I have seen, barring... hookers, free merchandise and cash...most everything else is now within the rules.
