Is this a team of destiny or am I crazy??

I agree this team has shown flashes of excellence, but also shown flashes of going through the motions. I think they can beat every team on their schedule and can also loose to most any conference team remaining. Many are thinking they only have 3 more games and basically the remaining games are gimmes. There is a good reason the SEC is the current king of football. Every team has very good players. Some just have more than others. I hope fans don't panic over a loss or even 2 loses. Even through Ala great run they have only had ONE undefeated season.

I'm starting to lean toward the destiny thing. The first 4 games on our schedule were set up for disaster somewhere in there and we prevailed. First we started off with an Appy State team that we all know had no business hanging with us, but did because we had the biggest game in football history waiting in the wings. Then we start out a little slow vs VT, but it ends in a blowout. We then get Ohio the week before UF (also started our conference schedule) and you know UF has been the game we absolutely wanted all offseason. This team has fought through the "mental" part of the schedule, now it's time to go out and just play loose like we saw in the second half against UF after the tightness went away from the first half.

We have been fortunate that the ball has bounced our way a few times so far this season, which has been very different from the last decade. The Vols need to take it, though, and not expect it to be given to them by "destiny."

I hope they are but I also don't want to set myself up for disappointment.

I feel good about this week. TAM scares me more than I thought they would. Bama is Bama but at least it's at home.

Butch is gaining more respect from this fan base... the man says its a week to week season. lets get on board with the guy and beat these dogs silly, worse than vick even.

We have some things working against us.

We NEED Jaylen Reeves Maybin and Darrin Kirkland JR back.

AND we need Justin Martin to realize hes wasting immense potential and for him to get his focus right. Learn the craft of CB.

We need all 3 of these guys if we're going ti make a run.

Its why I won't panic if we get a loss to Bama or A&M. Long gone are the days where you lose 1 and done, in terms of natty hopes. I really could see us losing to Bama...but win out and play them again in the SEC championship. Then I actually like our chances. Hard to beat the same team twice ( ex. LSU a few years back).

Really though the goal is to win the east and go to Atlanta anything more is icing on the cake.

Georgia is in the way right now. Time to prove we are more then a team that could "beat Florida" ... Time to show that the road to Atlanta goes through us this Saturday. It feels good that we control our own destiny.

If we could come out on fire and play four quarters we could hang with almost anyone. This team is killing me this year. I thought for sure we were done with 4 seconds left but somehow we pulled it out. Lady Luck is a VOL. So much heart...just please give us 4 quarters of that effort from here on out. GBO!

Maybe its our time guys. I have this weird, but cool gut feeling that we may just be a team of destiny like in 98. I feel it spiritually...it just hit me. Call me crazy, because it does sound crazy. Or does it? lol I guess I feel this way because everything has been going our way. We are usually the ones on the short end of the stick, enduring heartbreaking losses. Now we are celebrating riveting wins.

Again, I may be eating my words come Saturday night and this be nothing but a homer pipe dream haha Ill be at Sanford stadium, cant wait. It all starts there. Win this game and anything is possible. Could this 2016 Tennessee team run the table? Destiny on our side again?
