I disagree wholeheartedly. I do not believe that a new coach would solve our problems. I believe Derek Dooley is the right coach for the job. He took over a team in shambles with no depth and a heap of controversy. Even with all the negatively from the fan base this team hasn't quit. If we get back to the depth and talent we had in the 90s we'll get back to the wins we had in the 90s.

How are we suppose to get that depth if this team keeps losing year after year?

What makes top-notch recruits want to come to a team that continually finishes at the bottom of the conference every year?

Winning games in the conference matters.

We have enough depth and talent to field a defense of AT LEAST average ability if not above average. Yet we have fielded the worst defense in 100 years of UT football. Your next two points of dispute will be 1 ) we switched to a 3-4 this year 2 ) we do not have the talent in place yet
I understand the difficulty of the 3-4 , but there has not been progress all year and it seems to be getting worse as the season progresses. We do have talent , lots of it. All you need to do is look at the offers that our starters received in their recruitment. You cannot not convince me that their are 11 recruiting busts on the field. Our defensive players were recruited by top level teams across the board , outside of a few.

Again , an average defensive showing puts us in position to have 2-3 more wins. We have the players to do it , just not the coaching
