It seems everywhere I read online that the one inescapable whisper is of a secret "Big Fish" that is already commited to UT. This flame has been flamed by the recent commitments of the WR. Is there any substantiated news to these rumores? I don't concider Bray or Lamisian a big fish, I was thinking at least of Brunetti or God Forbide Scroggins. Why would anyone want to keep this a secret if so??

There is no logical reason for a silent QB commit from anyone's end... therefore I'm 99.999% sure there isn't one.

i think if Cam Newton is coming then he is logical for a slient so we do not scare away a HS guy from even being interested at first. I dn though. JMO

No silent commit. Just an obvious Dream situation for one of the already verbally committed 5 stars or an oppurtunity for an emerging 5 star after the season. Thats wyh these receviers are commiting now. They see the writing on the wall.

I don't think there is a silent. That aside, am I the only Vol fan that hopes Brunetti doesn't come to UT? I've seen film and once in person. I"m not impressed.

Interesting...there are several things we can think of this, but I think this is most likely a rumor started by Kiffin to pump up the fan base even more. But if there is this "big fish" out there, that's great! but Kiffin is keeping him well hidden from the media. which just don't seem at all possible to do thanks to technology these days...

Belive me, if there IS a "big fish," the media would've been all over him in seconds. they'll make him out like the "savior of the vols" or something...which would of course be a disadvantage somewhat to Berry's Heisman attention...

My guess is that Kiffin is concentrating on the running game which, to me, seems a lot easier to rebuild seeing that you don't need a brilliant QB to do so. You just give the RB the ball! But maybe after the running game is rebuilt, Kiffin will then concentrate more on QB and passing, creating a force to be reconed with!

If we have a good season this year and these QBs see the way CLK runs his offense maybe one of those committed QBs will change before signing day!

I've read and heard too much from too many places. Something is going on. Not sure what, but I'm expecting a QB commit/transfer announcement before kickoff with WKU.

Is Jake Heaps still out of the picture or does BYU pretty much have him locked?

As a Florida fan, I would love for you guys to get stuck with Cam Newton. I had friends that work for the UAA and tutor the athletes, and they all said hands down he was the dumbest athlete at UF (with our recent arrest troubles that's saying something). Also after watching him play in limited action, he has extreme accuracy issues especially on the short pass, but good luck if you land him.

Dumb and inaccurate. Not good QB traits at all

I'm with you, with name receivers committing on the backend of some of the statements made, I think there's something there.

Well if your tutors at Florida make fun of the kids they tutor thats pretty sad and classless. Just like Florida. And I think your just a bit nervous that an innacurate, dumb QB, who is also your former heir to Tebow, is going to come to UT and beat your A$$
