Is the team going to be any good this year?

Just a realist not living in a fantasy world like you guys are in the cartoons you like to use. Like howling with the wolves. Guess you like Halloween also. Got a costume picked out yet?

What kind of odds you givin against ETSU?
You might get some takers if they drill the Mocs at home.

Our guard talent should edge the Mocs out at home.
A little concerned about the big guys, one of which is 4 star 6-10 makinde London a guy we missed on.
6-10 Touyo could be a handful.
That early at home, who knows.

Beware the season start against little brother, the Chattanooga Mocs. They are a senior team with all five starters returning and defending SouCon regular season and tournament champions, playing a team of freshmen.

I swear you would still someone's toilet paper just so you could watch them struggle to wipe their ass. Your about the most negative so called Vols fan on here.

Yes, I'm going as a 60 something conspiracy theorist from Bristol, who has an unhealthy obsession with a certain former coach.

Too soon to tell if this team is going to be any good, but this team's got spunk and, unlike Lou Grant:

I don't hate spunk.

I honestly don't know what Barnes will do his second year, but last year is kind of tough to judge since you have a lot of personnel that he didn't recruit.

I got it from sports-reference.com. Barnes has a longer proven track record than Tyndall. He's never had any issue with the NCAA either. As far as coaching record, the man has had 3 losing records out of 29 years of coaching. I'll give you the struggling at Texas at the latter end of his stint there but it's rare that any coach stays at one spot for very long. He probably underachieved towards the end but the Big 12 is arguably the number 2 conference in college basketball.

I think he was a quality hire when he we made the hire. I think this year will be better in that we'll be younger and deeper. I'm not saying we"ll be in Final Fours or anything like that but by year 3 or 4 we should expect a Tourney level program.

Logically it was about as good as a hire was gonna get. Good coach, not a great one. But expecting him to do the same with what he has at UT vs. what he had at UTjr is unfair. He'll hold it down for a little bit and then hopefully UT hires the man who'll make a lot of progress.

Blasphemy!

Seriously, you are correct. He's not a coach at all; he's a manager...that's it!

I don't see where these idolizers of CRB get an impression that he is a HOF coach. All of his NCAA teams, except one, were invitees. The only reason that his teams got invited was due to the fact that they were in one of the preferred P5 conferences. Many times they finished league play in 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th place. He has only had one team in 28 yrs. to win a conference tournament. Pathetic!

Really? Not a coach? He fixed Punter's shooting stroke, something your man-crush didn't.
