you can't resally say that either...that would be like saying that you can only look at our defensive stats from the memphis and marshall games. I mean are you really tellingme that you consider WK, SC, UAB, COL, and Ole Miss a fair judgement of your defense ability???
yes, only because if we score more than 23 or 24 pts, i'm not convinced UGA can score more than that given how their offense has played of late. and your D while good, holding us to 23 or 24 pts really coulnd't be considered bad given that we are averaging well over 30 a game. it could be the difference of giving up 1 or 2 big plays that turn in to scores for us. That may be enough. i don't see us lining up and just beating you by pounding out 80+ yard drives at 6 or 7 minutes a click...now that would be great mind you, but from what i've seen from our offense against the best d we've played so far, i'm not convinced we're capable of that just yet with our offensive line.Good post and I agree with most of it. Do you think that your offense at 75% is good enough against our D?
same here...and he beat LSU at LSU...so why can't Joe T beat TN at home???You know what that reminds me of? Rick Clausen.
True my only concern being a Dawg is can he get enough velocity on his passes to not get picked of. If he can then I all will be fine. If not you will see Stafford, because what is a large set of plays going to do you if you cant run the effectively.
JoeT sucks. He became qb by default in spring practice. I think secretly Richt was glad he got hurt because then he could do what he wanted to do all along...put Stafford in. But when Stafford struggled as bad as he has, it gave Richt a bailout...he wouldnt be shown benching the senior qb because of injury.
Joe T never grabbed the #1 spot before his injury. Every game, every practice Richt would say it was up for grabs. And the Western Kentucky game did nothing but make the door for #1 open further. Joe T is starting this week not because of how good he was before his injury, but because how bad the qbs have been after his injury.
I just dont see UT scoring 24 points. Not that they are not able or that our D is dominating. Just to the use of the new clock rules and I think CMR will play ball control as much as possible to try and keep the UT offense off the field. But If you are right and UT hits a couple of big plays then we could be in deep trouble. If all goes well for us it will come down to the 4th and we will have a shot at winning.yes, only because if we score more than 23 or 24 pts, i'm not convinced UGA can score more than that given how their offense has played of late. and your D while good, holding us to 23 or 24 pts really coulnd't be considered bad given that we are averaging well over 30 a game. it could be the difference of giving up 1 or 2 big plays that turn in to scores for us. oh, it's still and if at this point if we can or not...we're capable of it...and that may be enough to keep UGA's D on it's toes.:crossfingers:I just dont see UT scoring 24 points.
