A program that was once good and competing for titles but now can't do jack and is an obscure program that loses 14 straight to its former rivals and struggles to make bowls?

Tennessee can and will be "back".

Where I was wrong is that I thought they were back at a point where they didn't have to play their best football in order to beat teams they are better than.

That's not the case. They may not have to play their "best", but they have to play well. They can't bring their "C" game.

We certainly aren’t good enough to overcome poor QB play at this point. I’m not sure we even have a game manager at the position. JG was terrible, Shrouts INT looked like some passes I saw my old high school that hasn’t had a winning season in 27 years throw last Friday. Hopefully, next year Bailey takes over and is at least close to as good as advertised.

Nope. Twelve years in this desert. Likely won’t be back in my lifetime.

When does basketball start?

Let this sink in:

Tennessee hasn't won the SEC since 1998 (Tennessee had at least one SEC Championship every decade since the formation of the league)
Tennessee hasn't won the SEC East since 2007
Tennessee hasn't finished in the AP top 10 since 2001
Tennessee has lost 13 straight to Alabama
Tennessee has lost 17 of the last 18 games against Florida
Tennessee has lost 8 of the last 10 games against Georgia
Tennessee has lost 5 of the last 8 games against Vanderbilt and has a losing record this decade against Vanderbilt

Tennessee as a program is no better than Minnesota or Nebraska. Has a great history but is largely irrelevant in the modern scape of football. I don't see us every getting "back".

They didn't, they brought their "JC" game. When that happens, there is little chance for a good performance.

Minnesota's half time speech: " Are we going to be the new Tennessee?" " Hell no!" "Get out there and pull your heads out of your asses!"

Yeah we would need UGA's defense to overcome how putrid our QB is. Actially even UGA's defense probably couldn't overcome JG.

Do you follow college football? Minnesota actually hired a great head coach. Which is something the administration at UT is incapable of doing.

Would everyone be saying this stuff if Nick Saban was our coach and things are as bad as right now?

Perhaps, I should have called the thread, new Nebraska.

The hint was that Tennessee used to win SEC Championships and compete for National Titles but their program has fallen and it doesn't look like it will recover.

Minnesota won B1G Titles and National Titles in the 1950s but haven't done anything since then. Granted, they had a great year last season.

Not the worst troll post imo.
