He's a darn good qb(6-3 200) who I think could run Butch's offense. Cameron Albright a 6-2 207 safety from North Cobb High School would be another good pick up.

I live in C-Ville unfortunately. Graduated there last year.

He's good, but he would have to prove a lot more for us to offer. Btw Woodstock is like 20 mins away, I doubt Brooks started this thread under the name Woodstock.

I'm just a fan of football who keeps up with High School as well as College Football. I'm more of a fan of Lassiter myself.

I enjoy HS football myself. I don't have a team but I watch a few games a year. I think Brooks will get some good offers too, not sure if he's in our radar or not though... It would be cool to say I went to HS with UT's starting QB though...

Go check Brooks' thread. Me and OddFuture already discussed Brooks, the possibility that Frank changes offenses just to pad his stats for offers; his playoff INTs that doomed them...

No offers that I see, no stars, nothing for anyone to love or hate on. Tells me all I need to know really.

Feel free to walk on good sir.

I was wondering the "unfortunately" part as a lot of people think C-Ville is a great place. Museums, schools, jobs, great downtown, etc. Then I saw that you just graduated. No college? Maybe you should enroll at UT since you're a fan?

Cartersville is a glorified stereotypical backwoods town. If you drive through it you see the downtown and you think "oh this town isn't bad", but then you keep driving and see the little areas (Emerson, Cassville, etc) which aren't Cartersville but the areas in the outskirts are similar. I'm a city type of guy, I lived in Memphis and closer to ATL in Kennesaw before moving to Cartersville and its got that mom and pop town feel I dislike. Like I've said before I've got a lot of family in towns like Parsons Tennessee, so I'm pretty familiar with the small town feel, I would just rather live in a big city.

Also on your point about me going to UT, I'm trying. Out of state tuition is a bi*** though, so I might need to establish residency first after I get my core classes done. I've got family all throughout the state (Chatanooga, Memphis, etc.) so I could find a job, move close to them, and then go to UT.

Enough about me though. I'm no friend or acquaintance of Brooks, but I really do wish him the best. I've seen a handful of Cartersville games, his dad teaches the mandatory PE class at C-Ville, and I had some classes with his brother. Honestly, I've said it before I could see him at a GA State or Troy. Maybe even a USM or WKU. If he has the talent, it would be cool for a UT offer but he has a lot of work to do before that point and he would have to have some luck in us striking out on other guys.

You've made me act a fool so many times...I finally have one up on you. I graduated from UT! lol. I hope you're able to get in big guy. You've got a good sense of humor, even if it is often at my expense :)

Ha thanks man! Even if I don't get in I still love the Vols and the Volunteer community. It's hard not to, being from the stare of Tennessee in my opinion :)

And isn't that love of the orange and white what brings us all to wasting so much of our lives on this little website anyway? Whether you become an alumni or not, you're a brother of the orange and white coalition in my opinion.

That's good to hear. Yeah VN gets addicting, but I'm a sports junkie on general. Up until high school I regularly played all sports and then cut it down. Never really played football though (crazy, I know). I spend a lot of my time watching and playing sports. I'm just glad I've got a good college fan base as the ATL fan base (minus the Braves) is wishy washy. Vols fans are crazy in a good way, and it makes for an awesome game experience which I'm not used to (although the Falcons fanbase is starting to do their share too).

As we all are, I'm ready for this Butch Jones era to start. I was the sucker thinking Doolz should get another year (until the 7th loss) all last year, but Butch has not only got the fanbase excited but also the country noticing.

/late-night rambling

I think it should be noted that Brooks went through the season I believe up till the last playoff game without an intereception. He did throw 2 in the last game but to be able to protect the ball without an INT even in high school especially without a very good offensive line is pretty good. Also, one of the interceptions was on a play where the receiver could have easily knocked it down but made no effort to get to the ball. The other was on a lob pass that never should have been thrown but looked like he tried to force it in and the defender made a nice play on.

Brooks is a good QB that has improved each year who will continue to improve and develop his game. I look for him to have a great Senior year.

I would figure he would end up with a 3 star ranking and depending on the season he has, again without a very strong Oline, but he could very well be a 4 star. He has some good receivers coming back even though he lost a couple of receivers including key target Hayes Linn.

We are going to have so many q.b.'s that not only will some of them not get playing time on Saturdays, they won't even get to throw the ball in practice.

How can you really have 5 q.b.'s and all of them get enough reps in practice....

Use the scholarship on a different position....
