Is Tee working for free today?

VN loves and appreciates Tee the player but Tee the coach has left a lot to be desired. Especially with the whole you didn't select me as Vols HC because of my race stuff, that's grown old quickly and hasn't been well received

Tee was a great WR coach, and I haven't seen him play the race card. Has he? If so, provide a link.

No doubt you are reading things into his comments that aren't there.

It's THIS idiot claiming it's racist.

Former University of Tennessee player claims 'racism' in passing on Tee Martin as coach | News Break

Good ole "big Al"

And yes, stomping another player's head is in fact one indication of being an idjut.

Albert Haynesworth’s Brutal Face Stomp Required 30 Stitches

I loved Al as a player, but....

Again I'm talking about what Haynesworth and Price said, it didn't sit well in 17 and it's not sitting well now because it's not true. Is that Tees fault? No clue, not sure what he's telling people behind the scenes but several have indicated there is some racial sensitivity there. Again, if we're being totally honest about Tee if he hadn't played here no one would want him here. He turned up is nose at UT in 17 and said he had no interest in interviewing for the OC job. He got caned at SC and came back here in a lesser position. Hasn't exactly knocked it out of the park.

Here's another truth bomb for you, Tee was an average QB on a great football team.

I think Ainge needs to stay away from the pressure cooker that is coaching

He said recently that he would enjoy the actual coaching aspect, but that the recruiting aspect, requiring him to be on the road, would not be good for him due to his addictions, etc.

Yeah, I worry about Sark at Texas for the same reasons. That's a high pressure job

Why do so many people on VN hate Tee?

I think that is misinterpretation as many don’t think he is a very good coach and/or not head coach material.

Arrest player doesn’t translate to a successful coaching career.

I think those who joke about Tee are concerned that he may have been part of the recruiting violations and/or tired of the drama and ready to move on.

He should be getting his resume' together and seeking gainful employment at this point.

Tee gave us the finger for USC...many seem to forget that during Butch’s run here. He only came back because USC fired him for being a $#!tty OC. It’s a business....regardless if he’s an ex-player or not.

Really want to see Tee stay as a position coach. He’s a great recruiter and good position coach. I don’t see him being a great head coach but I do think he could learn a bit from Heupel and perhaps expand his offensive philosophies a bit further.

And Peyton was a great QB on a great Football teamS at UT.

Yet who won the National Championship??

You suck as a Vol "fan".

.
Tee was not qualified for the UT HC job, but that doesn't mean you have to constantly berate the man and what he did for the University. But we all know why you're doing that...

Tell me why I'm doing that?

You don't know anything about me but I know you have both deflected and projected in this conversation. Just because we don't agree means you get to insist that I'm a racist to end the argument. Grow the hell up, it was a conversation between me and another poster but of course you pick and choose.

Tee needs to go work on his dream of being a head coach. I fully respect him but I hope he isn't retained by Heupel. In fact, I hope we clean house and start over. We need fresh ideas and new blood on the hill.

Tee isn't the one that said anything about race so that should not fall on him. You just accused him of something he did not do
Didn't say he said it now did I?

Actually, you did. Hence you using the words "me" and "my".
