SIAP, but a few ago I had read that Sutton was targeting the Tennessee Tech game to return. Does anyone know if he'll be playing, even in a limited role? If not, any idea of a possible return at a later date, or has he given his all?

The depth chart should be out. You can find it in UTSports.com. Although, I agree, we would probably have heard by now if he was. Best case scenario is he's day-to-day.

I'd hope they'd give him and Kamara one more week. If we need those guys to beat TT, Butch needs to go at the final horn Saturday.

He really should get ready for the combine and not risk his health no longer

Questionable for next Saturday is what was said. Sutton and Kamara are doing drills daily to get back on the field quickly.

NFL scouts will look at things like is a guy a quitter or how hard he worked to come back from an injury to help his team in it's last 3 games when he could have and maybe should have mailed it in for the combine. Much respect for Mr Sutton! I'm sure his teammates feel the same way.

The plan (as if there is a plan) is to allow Sutton another week to recover. If it were an SEC game, he would probably be available and might see limited action. Against TTU he will watch and continue healing.

I think with the Hurd purge this team might steamroll the rest of the schedule, just an instinct. Could be wrong

That's the stupidest thing I've heard in awhile. If he's healthy then he should play. Hell maybe we should sit all our seniors and juniors that have a potential of being drafted so they won't get hurt.

I don't know about Sutton....but I am available to play. Personally I would give my left "nad" to suit up, run through the T and play in a game for the Vols. Of course I would get steam-rolled on every play but that would not mean the effort would not be there! LOVE MY VOLS!!:good!:

Just an update, but from other things I've read, Sutton will likely return after TTU *IF* Florida loses to Arkansas. This would mean that Tennessee is back in position to possibly win the East, assuming Florida also loses to LSU. On the flip side, I've seen that if Tennessee squanders any possibility to win the East, Sutton may apply for a medical redshirt and come back next season to improve his draft stock.

Whether Tennessee wins out or not, tell me that you would like to see Florida to lose to Arkansas and LSU (may be even South Carolina). Can I get an Amen?

He should not play even if ready. We may need him in the last 3 weeks and if TTU is a threat then we got bigger problems.

Some are paid professionals, and some are just real football players.

The first group play when they need to; the second group play whenever they can.

I've always had the impression Cam was just a real football player.

Even if Sutton is close (which I really hope he is), should be no reason to play him against Tech and risk it. Give him another week of rest and shoot for a return in the Kentucky game, if possible.

That said, I am excited to get him back and hope he gets the chances to finish out his career strong!
