Not as good, but he's a sure fire NFL tight end, the catch he made in the endzone Saturday and the catch against Bama late in the 4th quarter are NFL tight end catches. He'll make some money
no...not yet...but to be honest with you, he could be with another year. witten benefited from a depleted WR group and a very consistent QB. We also played Witten in the slot and as a wideout. I think the tools are there for Stocker to be really good.
he's still got another season to get there. Who was throwing the ball to Jason Witten BTW? Certainly not there but you have to give him that he has the potential to get there.
Who really knows.....everyone is so quick to say no, all I know is that he is our most reliable receiver right now and there is a lot of upside...just depends what he does with it.
If you change the question to "Is Stocker better than Witten was in college" which I think is the OP's intent then it's closer than I expected but Witten has a decided edge.
Stocker has 292 yards and 4 TDs this season. Still 200 yards and a TD short of Witten's Junior season. Witten outperformed him as a sophomore as well and didn't come back for his senior year.
Those UT offenses that Witten played for were definitely loaded but Witten was as big a reason for their success as anybody.
