Is Scott Frost a possibility?

Bring me Frost. Played defense in the NFL and was ocoordinator at Oregon and has shown he can run a program a couple years in. Young and can be a long time head coach. Will recruit insane

I don’t want another spread offense coach unless it’s Chip Kelly. Tired of going shotgun on the 1 yard line.

I really don’t understand the problem with Frost. He is Kelly without the baggage. He is the next Tom Herman if not better. Tom Herman was HC for only two years at Houston and got the Texas job. If you ask me Frost should be our number 1 right now. If you compare the two coaches they are so similar it’s not even funny. He has turned that crappy program UCF around. And let’s be honest he’s not recruiting 4 or 5* players there. Imagine what he could do with a roster full of talent. He could be really successful here. The only problem would be changing this teams mentality. Which wouldn’t take long.

If we land frost I’ll be very happy with that. He’s not my top of my list, but he’s better than half the names mentioned. He’s been OC, DC, and HC which is rare. His players love him, he’s tough guy. Very football savy and smart. Great recruiter.

I know people think it’s a fore gone conclusion that he’s going to Nebraska. I get he’s an alumni but if we offered him I wouldn’t be surprised to see him take our job over Nebraska.

He has stated before being close to recruiting hotbed is important to him to get the right type of players for their style of play. If you look at resources we offer, facilities, location etc. We are much better than Nebraska. Plus the SEC east at UT is better chance of success compared to NB in the big 10.

All in all it would be a success hiring Frost I think he’s going to be one of the hot coaches in few years.

Why don't we just bite the bullet and hire Eric Taylor. Turns winners in to champions. Clear eyes full heart can't lose!

he has only coached one full season at UCF and was 6-7, what makes you think he could do anything here in the SEC? because he beat memphis?

So your saying a Coordinator that has a national championship appearance and who developed Marcus Mariota, who has turned a complete dumpster fire of a program into a top 25 team couldn’t do a better job?? Take your Gruden glasses off.

What i like about Frost is he is young and very educated football wise and could be the home run hire we have been waiting for...He has a brilliant mind for the game and could be here for a long time if we treat him right...I'd have no problem with him as head coach.

Frost would kill it here. We're a better job thn Nebraska. Frost hated traveling to get recruits at Oregon so why would he go to Nebraska who has 0 composite 4 stars. Tennessee can pay him better and the class of 2019 has 20 composite 4 stars so far. Gruden>Kelly>Patterson> Frost> Brohm

I like this guy. Fire Butch and we should be able to get Frost signed within a week.

Let's make this happen!

Well it could be the fact that the team he inherited was completely winless the year before he arrived and he's currently undefeated in year 2... He did a pretty good job at Oregon as well.. Does this mean he would be successful in the sec? no but id be willing to take the gamble and find out...

Meanwhile, the masses want to hire a guy that hasn't coached a game in almost 10 years, has never coached a game at the college level and barely won over 50% of his games during his career in the NFL.. and think that giving him a "blank check" to save our program is a great idea What makes people think he could do anything here in the sec?

Because he would be the most famous college football coach in the game. Assistant coaches would flock to be on his staff because all the recruits would flock to Gruden because he has spent the past 5 years working with kids in order to get drafted.

He’s easily the most recognizable guy in football and recruits know him.

Frost is going to Nebraska

Just cause be went there don't mean he'll take a job there. Scott Frost is extremely smart. He knows Nebraska is a no-win situation. There is literally no talent in the state and in surrounding areas. He would never be able to attract the athletes necessary to win at a high level over there.

The opposite is true for Tennessee. Starting with the 2019 recruiting class, the state of Tennessee is now producing enough talent instate to build a championship program with solely instate players. 247sports currently has 19 players from Tennessee rated as composite 4-stars in the class of 2019. That's 5th most in the country after Florida, Texas, Georgia, and California.

Plus Knoxville is only a 3 hour car ride from Atlanta and Charlotte. Two cities that produce a ton of talent each year.

The gap in recruiting between Tennessee and Nebraska is so vast that only a fool would take Nebraska over Tennessee. Scott Frost is no fool. If we offer him, he'll take Tennessee over Nebraska.
