I did forget they were part of a horrible Big East but both years he won it he was Tied for 1st so yes it was shared.O be year he shared it with Cincinnati and the other he was 7-6 overall and shared it with Cincinnati and West Va. Anyone that remembers those big east conference years knows they were a horrible conference and most people didn't think they deserved an automatic BCS bid. Would put Butch and Strong even from the Big East days but in 2 legit conferences Butch had the better success in a better conference and it wasn't like Butch was a world beater in the East. That tells you how bad Strong was at Texas. So again based purely off what they have done as Head Coach's they are in the same tier.
Look at the money. We will go with a no to low buyout guy. So that excludes Petrino and Brohm. I just don't see us paying Chip $5.5M either. Currie was here for Kiffin, thus he'll shy away from Frost. Les Miles...he couldn't even get Purdue to hire him.
It'll be a Grp5 or a coordinator.
He might be ok, but he doesn't have that great of a body of work to judge--especially in the south. Another one of those west coast Kelly wannabes. He might work out here, but really another crap shoot. We oughta go with Petrino. An offensive genius who could do wonders with Guarantano and future Tennessee recruits.

Disagree. Nebraska and Tennessee programs are in a parallel universe. Nebraska has had its Solich, Callahan, Pelini and Riley. TN has its Kiffen, Dooley and Jones. Both programs are struggling and struggling bad. As a Husker alum, do you resurrect a program like NU where if you do you're a god or a TN program that if you do, it's because people would say you had the talent (using your recruiting analysis)handed to you? Taking the NU job over TN isn't a career killer, killer.
