The Coaches Page on UTSports has Inky Jonhson as a GA but Rubio is not there and there's a blank space to the left of Inky's picture...
Was Rubio ever on that page or is he really gone?

There was a rumor that he still intended to go to USC after the report that he declined, but there was no truth to it.

The fact that he turned down X and chose to stay here should put to rest the "spy" rumors. He turned X down, he wants to be here, we don't need to get rid of him.

Obviously Dooley will decide about Rubio. Why did Dooley not like Ausmus(?sp), the former strength coach?

Because no one could possibly spy from the inside? Why try to make off with a bunch of documents at once, when you can do it slowly over a longer period of time while getting paid for it?

I'm not saying either thing is true, and I certainly hope it's not, just playing devil's advocate here.

I think Rubio is smart enough to see he is more valuable in the southeast. Not a lot of Florida kids sign in Cali.

It would not be the best career move, if he is hanging his hat on Florida connections.

Dooley wanted his own guy.. I don't think he ever promised Ausmus a job with UT.. As soon as Ausmus was announced to be leaving we had another S&C coach in place within 48 hours..
