Is RFK, Jr. done?

The anti science “naturalist/anti vaxxers” was generally a niche lefty position, and was always my biggest criticism of a portion of the left. But for whatever reason, this is of course the one historically left take that the right has now adopted aggressively.

The man has zero concept of how science works. Couldn’t understand a double blind study if someone slapped him in the face with it. Spreads violently unfactual misinformation. A literal conspiracist theorist. And I ****ing hate conspiracy theorists.

Including the oral rotavirus vaccine and counting combo vaccines as one, kids receive approximately 30, by the age of 18. That does not include flu vaccines.

Thanks for this. There is no way in Hades that I took 30 shots, or even a dozen shots of vaccine in my life. I know my kids havent had 30 either, but they also never attended public school and the school they did attend did not require them. I know myself and my kids had the MMR shot, and DPT. 30 shots seems crazy to me. I know military folks get lots of extra shots especially when travelling overseas, but for normal civilians the current schedule sounds very excessive to me. I am not anti-vax in general though my family never got the jab for cv19. I appreciate your advice about the shingles vax, which I plan to get. I think that children and their immune systems are very vulnerable as they are growing and developing and I am hesitant to put any vaccines or pharmaceuticals in my kids system unless they are absolutely necessary. I understand others may see this differently and thats why it is important for parents and citizens to have choice regarding what chemicals etc enter their bodies.

Me too. I really wish trump had questioned fauci, but no one seems to really care that trump kept the cobra coiled in the face of faucis covid policies. Trumps reward for his place in covid was getting reelected. I guess you could see Kennedy as a continuation of fauci in that way.

The right is not “anti-vax”, that’s just dumb. The right is anti-mandates.

which is unfortunate because it shouldn't be lumped in with highly proven vaccines that have allowed us to eradicate illnesses.
It is a result of an authoritarian government and a complicit media, coupled with a LYING and arrogant pharmaceutical industry.

That trust will take decades to return. It sure as hell won't return in my lifetime.

I like that Robert Kennedy Jr is shaking up the status quo.

Scientific Community is very closed-net and political in my view. Our food pyramids change on a whim on what is healthy and is not. Obesity and health issues are climbing in the USA. Kennedy may have some out there ideas but the Status Quo is clearly not working. Something is off with the Medical Community, Science Community, and Dept of Health. I have lost a lot of trust and I am open to different views. COVID-19 is a great example (but just one) of their failure. Doctors and Scientists that tend to challenge their views get isolated or expunged from the "system".

Do I think Kennedy is wrong on a lot of issues? Very likely. However, we need to stare ourselves in the face and start to admit that the current thoughts are also concerning and wrong.
How often has the food pyramid changed in the last 40 years?

I’m about as what you would incorrectly call far right as one can be and think kids should be vaccinated against the basics. But I’m absolutely against forcing people to get vaccinated.

I don’t think you are far right for what it’s worth. And I didn’t say everyone on the right is Anti Vax, but that a non negligible portion of the right has developed vaccine cynicism that was previously found mostly in a portion of the left.
