Is Mike Hamilton ever going to be held accountable for the issues that's been happening to Tennesse's program's
or are they just gonna find an escape goat. If the rumor is true that Bruce Pearl is leaving then he has to go. Not unless he blames the janitor or waterboy and they get fired.

Call the zoo, put out an APB! They can get that pesky goat back in his cage! Just joking....;-)

No goat has successfully escaped while Rod Wilks has been on campus. Just sayin'.

The only reason I don't want Hamilton to go is bc Fulmer will feel a little vindicated....

Awww yeah boy, time to start having some pocket presents and exercise some demons.

This is a funny post.

I think people do not seem to understand that Hamilton is not a lame duck.

Major violation and he will fall on his sword IMO. No further punishments from the NCAA or just a minor one and he will be rightly viewed as a guy who cooly guided us through a crisis not of his making.

If football doesn't show improvement next year and with the current basketball situation, as well as baseball being a joke, his days may very well be numbered. Perhaps they shouldn't be, but they will.

Its certainly a fine line that he is walking, IMO. AA' infractions with the hoops team and I think his fate is sealed. One more year of the football program remaining status quo without a Hoops title or Final Four, could perhaps spell the end as well.

Fact is, someone has to take the fall. If Bruce takes the fall, then someone has to take the fall for his falling. (This made sense when I said it to myself...)

All in all, if I were Hamilton I would certainly be printing out resumes in my office on UT's dime while I have the chance.

BVF. Raleigh either takes a big step forward this year or he is fired. He knows it.

I do not like him as a baseball coach, but if/when he is fired the guy who takes over will inherit more talent and no APR loss of scholarship troubles as he did. Sounds crazy to say about a coach I want to be rid of, but he improved the program from the depths Delmonico took it with the idiotic players who kept leaving and getting kicked out. Losing two scholarships in baseball is crippling, especially when you play a schedule as tough as an SEC school does.

Dooley has another season after this one before results will be demanded. 6 wins this year and 7 or 8 next year and none of the $$$ that matter will be upset.

MH has proved 2 things since he has been on the Hill...
1) he knows how to get a basketball program on the rise to epic proportions

2) He knows how to turn a dime in a faltering Economy.

Other than that, he has been responsible for the football program slippin and sliding faster than any ride splash country has to offer and while i believe giving the pink slip to Delmonico, Raliegh has done less with more IMO. Delmonico was a jerk, when I was younger I worked as a server at the O'Charleys in Farragut and he used to bring his youngest kid's whole baseball team into the restaurant and spend a couple hours in the joint letting the kids tear the place up, and then after wasting hours catering to the whole crew, the jerk wouldn't tip at all... Maybe that was just personal, but I believe it speaks to the character of the slimeball.

MH will be spared provided Dooley is successful by the time the 2013 football team plays its last game and Bruce is spared the might of the NCAA and continues to raise the ceiling and expectations of our basketball program regardless of what transpires in baseball. Lets be honest, we have about 4k people that truly care about the baseball team. The rest of us only want the team to be successful because they suit up with the right color.

If Dooley doesn't work out, MH will be gone and the next AD will run the coaching search IMO regardless of what Bruce does, and the next AD will have Bruce's leash shorter than Ashton Kutcher's

Go Vols!!!

Blame Mike Hamilton....after all he is the athletic director!! He might have let Phil stay too long, he hired a coach that left us and he hired Coach Dooley!!

If you have a coach that will lie to the NCAA over a minor violation then you have NO respect!! Mike Hamilton not only has sat and watched our football program go downward....after the Bruce Pearl situation Mike Hamilton says: "I am proud to have Bruce Pearl as our basketball coach"!!

I am not saying Bruce Pearl is not a great basketball coach...I am saying Mike Hamilton does not have the respect that he needs to oversee a University full of athletics.

Coach Dooley might turn this thing around but Mike Hamilton is to blame if we must place blame somewhere.

Mike Hamilton has made 1 good hire since taking Doug Dickey's place in 2003....and that is Bruce Pearl!! What else has he done??

Mike Hamilton is riding the coat tails of Doug Dickey and he is running out of luck!! I have heard play "Dooley" if you want to assure your coach another year...I know someone that is playing "Dickey" and keeping their job!! He can't walk anymore in Dickey's shoes!!

GO VOLS and may this nightmare be over soon for the University of Tennessee!!

There is much greater opportunity for 3 wins this season than 6. 0-8 in the SEC would have some concerned with the program, regardless of the shortcomings in talent and experience.

BVF...UT goes 0 for the SEC and I will not post on here if you will agree that if we win 1 you wont.

That is really interesting. Suggesting that this team could very well end up 0-8 in the SEC should result in my never posting here again, while you go way out a limb and suggest they may actually win 1 SEC game,----no thanks. Again, a foolish post by you MHF.

It is clear that you do not actually believe something as stupid as that TN, a team that almost beat LSU on the road will not win a single SEC game this season.

Unlike you, I was not predicting an 0-8 SEC season, simply stating that it was a possibility. Using the LSU game to suggest a win when we just witnessed being dominated by a Ga. team that was 1-4 does not equate to assured success in any other SEC game.

Call me stupid if you wish, but I have a feeling that we beat Vandy, but lose to UK (football). Ole Miss is a possible win....maybe....I wouldn't give ourselves the benefit of the doubt at this point.
