With his big raise Richt makes more money and this comment from a UGA fan.....

we have finished ranked higher than UT six straight years and have two SEC Championships.

Oh, and since 2002 we have scored more points offensively than UT, so I guess what we are used to under CMR is better than what you are used to under CPF.

Mark Richt has absolutely done a better job coaching the last few years that CPF. If you closely watch the games, GA tackles better, makes fewer mistakes and plays with more passion.

Mark has a pair of SEC Championships, so I'll give him the nod...but he's not been all that great recently.

He's lost 3 of his last 4 against Fulmer. He's lost to Vandy, Kentucky, and South Carolina over the past 2 seasons as well.

Bottom line.... we lead the SEC in morale victories. How can you put a price tag on that?

I seem to remember some pretty sound butt whoopins over the last few years that would indicate "no" being the answer to the question.

thus ending the argument that Phil is a lesser coach than Saban Meyer Spurrier Miles etc. ?

Richt is a good coach, not a great coach.

Fulmer is a good coach, not a great coach.

I could care less who earns more, and I could really care less about whose team scores more points :crazy: but the fact is, as much as the dawgies hate to admit it, we've had their number for the better part of the past 2 decades... all except for a brief run at the beginning of this century.

What has Spurrier done lately? And what is the etc. for can you think of more? Saban and Meyer will both get their's this year, bank on it.

I would trade victories over Richt's bunch for some SEC titles. Heck, I'd trade all the victories over UGA for one title.

Funny how the Fulmerites cry foul over using only Phil's post 1998 stats to sum up his career but they sure don't mind shaving a few years off the Richt-Fulmer head to head record to avoid the fact that Richt still has a winning record versus Phil.

I would guess UGA is thinking Richt is a heartbeat away from being the head coach at FSU. Supply and demand.

CPF has never coached a football team that went winless in the SEC East for a calendar year.

Right now? No. Head to head match ups lately swing to Fulmer and they weren't really even close.
