No. We have several quality starters. Can't judge the defense with Simms at QB. They never get a break.

By SEC caliber Im pretty sure he's referring to top echelon SEC starters. Ya a lot could start in the SEC, but none could start for Bama, LSU, or an early 2000s UT squad.

THANK YOU WILROB75!!! Our defense never gets a break, you cant say we have a terrible defense when Simms leads a 3 n out each series. We have a lot of talent on defense. If our QB could complete a simple out pattern we woulda been leading at the half n the defense would actually have something to play for.

Like Dooley said at the break, if we could convert a 3rd down pass it would be completely different. But for godsake I dont want Simms to ever step foot on the General's grass ever again.

Keep your heads up ppl, it may not look like it but but we're making progress.

I can't argue with you there . . . but I think this thread is pretty valid. There's some potential on defense, but there are a lot of guys seeing the field right now that shouldn't have to be playing.

ajj, and maggit are sec caliber. same for j smith. however they are not stars (yet), and thats what this defense is calling on them to be.

Maggitt, Johnson, Coleman, Randolph, Brewer, Smith, Miller.

We have a lot of SEC talent on defense. They are just young and have to play right now.
