Is Leach still in the running since Fulmer is AD now?

Fulmer needs to be on the horn with Mike Leach first thing in the morning apologizing for the fiasco, assuring him it's all good now, and hoping he buys it!

He's who we need - not a three yards and a cloud of dust guy and not a "he hasn't had good results coaching but he bleeds orange" guy.

Yep, I agree completely. Give Leach the resources of Tennessee and get out of the way. ✈️ raid!!!

Leach hasn’t had a recruiting class that’s in the top 50 at Washington and he beat both PAC12 championship teams and they both regularly have top15 and top5 classes. Leach turned a walk on QB into a NFL draft pick. Not to mention the people who don’t want Leach would bend over for Tee to come here...and Tee has done NOTHING against Washington State.

I

The next time I'm in the Charlotte/Rock Hill area I wanna buy you a beer.

seems like from a few articles today it sounded like a resounding NO on Leach.

concerns over his lawsuit against TT and some other issues.

Leach would be awesome at UT...Still upset I woke up this morning and he wasn't our coach because they fired Currie...This is getting tiring and I don't know what is on Fulmers mind...I am horrified he will go after some boring prostylish type of coach that can't gain 9 yards a game in todays game....I don't know what to think anymore...Remember he was responsible for bringing the Clawfense to UT....Geesh, What a nightmare this has been.

The Clawson experiment might be why he would shy away from a spread guru.

I don’t see Morris competing or outrecruitng Mullen and Kirby

You mean the guy who was signing 5 stars out of Georiga for Clemson couldn't out recruit them? If we can't have Leach, Morris is the next best choice imo out of realistic candidates.

My guess is no! They had him already… i understand taking a step back, but the tone today was that it was going to take time… time for Auburn to play… my fear is that they’ll go all old school UT and gamble again… it only takes a day to put up the bat signal and see who’s interested. I want a top tier guy… I don’t believe it will happen.

I don't think so. Chris Low did an interview where he said he talked with CPF and he said UT needed someone who fit the community and knows the SEC and can recruit the region. Not seeing how an eccentric pirate loving guy fits and plays in East Tennessee...not to mention his lack of defense. He could be fun for a few years though, but not a long term answer IMO.

Leach would bring experience. He’s shown he can beat the big boys with less talent (several wins over Oklahoma, USC, Texas, etc)

Morris would be a good choice if we want to go “up and comer”. Riskier since he’s unproven against top teams but has done good in his current rebuild. Both could bring some excitement back to the hill.

Leach is a bad fit at a big time program he is to politically open about trump an he has referred to Christians on his teams as “bible guys throwing the book around” Hard to recruit the best athletes in the country with that back round IMO. For the record I think he is a good coach just bad fit.

Dammit I want Leach. But I can get behind someone else if it’s they’re a good coach and fit.

I think he should be. I think his public nuttiness throws some off, but if you watch those videos of him in a locker room, he does not mince words. He is straight up and down like 6 o clock with his guys. We need that on the hill. After limp wrist Butch, these guys need some discipline and encouragement. Leach can supply both those qualities along with humor.

Leach is like the Moneyball of football coaches. Because he doe not fit the standard coach mold he is pushed to the side. Good coach. I was adamantly against him until last night, his offenses would make us a threat to beat anyone on our schedule. I don't think he is a championship coach though. However, at this point I would be very curious to see what he could do with the kind of talent he would have here

His defense was ranked 15th this year

No, Fulmer can’t work with the leach personality
Going to be a yes man.

Dumb. That's the complete opposite of what he would want because he was a coach and didn't want that. He had anything and everything he needed, full control while working under dickey and when Hamilton came-in that changed. Fulmer is going to hand the keys over to the coach and provide him the full support he needs to be successful. If you knew anything then you would know Phil gave complete control over to his coordinators and didn't micromanage them while he was a coach.

I call people like you "little people" because you attempt insult and tear down others for no reason

Absolutely, not sure we can find anyone much better and more refreshing for the program. For the record, I'm not against Sumlin or Les but I think Leach could do quite well here. The thought that only SEC coaches can do well in the SEC is ridiculous. If that were true the likes of Meyer and Saban would have not been successful.

Leach is an SEC coach
