Is Leach still in the running since Fulmer is AD now?

Why or Why not?

No. The reset button was hit on the search. Nobody told Currie to interview him. He went out to WSU in a buddys plane, not the UT plane. Hence fired.

I never thought it was even possible. No way they let that guy walk around Neyland acting like a pirate. Lol

Seriously. I spent the last two hours at work today just watching CML videos and getting hyped up!

After 5 years of 'bricks' and 'individuals' I'm ready to hear something new.

Hoping if not him, maybe reset includes Morris...now he's not going to A&M.

I think he should be. I think his public nuttiness throws some off, but if you watch those videos of him in a locker room, he does not mince words. He is straight up and down like 6 o clock with his guys. We need that on the hill. After limp wrist Butch, these guys need some discipline and encouragement. Leach can supply both those qualities along with humor.

We wouldn't win any championships though.

Hire him!

The sordid Tennessee coaching saga touched close to home Thursday night, dragging none other than Washington State’s Mike Leach into the melodrama. And suddenly, the Cougar faithful must be wondering what it all means for the football program that Leach has resurrected.

The comically bungled Tennessee coaching search was a real hoot to watch from afar, you’ve got to admit.

Mike Leach to Tennessee now unlikely, but how long will he stay at WSU? | The Seattle Times

I think he will remain on the radar simply due to who all is left, which isn’t much. One thing I took away from Fulmer’s statements was that he wanted someone who wanted to be in Knoxville. This fits Mike Leach to a “T”.

I think Jeff Brohm, Les Miles, Kevin Sumlin, Tee Martin, and Chad Morris get looks as well.

My Prediction: Jeff Brohm

I sure as heck hope he's still in the running. We could (and have done) much, much worse. Leach's approach brought into our environment would be downright scary. There are few coaches who would be his equal. I wasn't a Currie fan - in fact, I thought he appeared wholly incompetent over the last week. But last night, I heard he was interviewing Leach and things were looking good and I allowed myself to get my hopes up. Why did this have to happen when Currie had (finally!) latched onto a brilliant hire?

Yea, his team's performance against Cal at home, was amazing.
