I know he has the option because I believe he got a medical redshirt. I didn't make it into the stadium in time to see the senior ceremony before the Missouri game, and I thought I heard his name announced while I was outside the stadium. I thought maybe he was giving up football due to all the injuries.

I don't know whether or not he is coming back, but it was apparent his injury has made him into a shadow of who he was. Personally, I think it would be in his best interest to stick it out another year and have a full off-season committed to improving himself. If he wants to become the best player possible, he should stay. Transfering doesn't do anthing for him IMO...only reason he should leave is because he wants to move on from football..

Oh, I don't think he would transfer. I think he might just hang it up.

I hope he stays. Kirkland was a great player for us. I'm hoping he can fully recover from this injury and become a solid player again.

Remember Tuttle as a freshman? Dude was good. Then he had a string of injuries and was not the same. However, I feel that he was getting back to his old ways at times this season.

So yeah, I hope Kirkland returns. Is he really just a junior?

He didn’t play for 2 years. Makes sense that he wasn’t as good this year as he was in the past. If he’s healthy I hope he comes back.

He didn’t need a medical redshirt due to him having an unused regular variety. Injury being the reason made him eligible to petition for an extra year...prolly not necessary.

I think he truly gave it his best effort but he simply isn’t the same player he was before the injury. He probably should move on from football but if can get some looks in the combine then you never know

If it hasn't already happened, he needs to complete his degree.
He already graduated...that’s why Pruitt had to recruit him away from being a grad transfer...you mean masters?

Unless he becomes an actual SEC LB who can tackle and not get pancaked by every OG who puts a hand on him, I’d go with I kinda hope not.

DK has never been the same since his first injury. He looks really slow now. He probably needs to give it up.

Good! I didn't recall if he had graduated on not.

Yes, if he can complete his masters, I bet he moves on away from football. His lateral movement is unfortunately poor due to the injuries.

Point of attack liability also. Very rarely made the offensive player go the opposite direction.

Yes, they were subbing him out quite a bit last night. Ignont played a lot.

Interesting that Banks started the game at LB. We had 33, 34, and 35 lined up there at LB on the very first play.

I’m sorry but the only upper class men off the top of my head I even hope of seeing back is Jennings and Callaway.

Well other than the fact we lose 3 of the front 4 due to graduation, the front 7 just about needs a complete overhaul. Butuli is decent but that is about it. None of our linebackers can cover in space and can't get off blocks.

I personally think he should as he was a non factor most of the year. This isn't unusual after the type of injury he suffered. Should he come back I think he could have a great senior season. However, he will need a couple of JUCO DT to come in and help out.
