Why dont you take a look at the facts instead of posting your senseless opinions. Boise finished 14th in total defense last year, compared to us who finished 22nd, and Wilcox was able to do it with lesser talent too. Im sure every other vol fan on here is tired of looking at all of the negative crap that you have been posting about Wilcox. If you don't like the hire, then why dont you jump on the USC bandwagon with Kiffin, Mongo and that old ass has been Monte.

true, but he wasn't in the SEC.That being said, its gonna take time to see how all of the hires work out.

Yeah. Gainsville is going down. Pleeeeeeease

Right; they have only lost numerous starters, their Heisman QB, their DC, their OC, and their HC is questionable. Other than that, all is well in Gainesville.

Me!:wavey: I'm seriously tired of it. Complete and utter drivel with no facts to substantiate any of it. Spare us.

They lost their HC, too.

Well, he did come back for a short while. But he's on leave now.

I think we need to win a few against florida before we start talking about kryptonite

we haven't played a snap under Wilcox and already the expectations are WAYY to high

What's your thoughts? Is Urban having chest pains right now after due to this hire?

Yeah, no 1 recruiting class, more talent on his scout team than we have on our second string, two national championships in four years, a heisman trophy winner and an undefeated season..... And we hire boise's states dc....... What's he afraid of? That wilcox talks ut into paint the field orangecand he will get his shoes dirty when he comes here? :)

From what I've seen he is, he definately can't run over ppl like Tebow did. I think he's more of a pro style QB,JMO

They can still definitely do option runs but we're probably not going to see any more qb dives from this kid. Tebow was a special kind of athlete.

A lot, watch out for John Brantley. 3 years in the system and weapons coming back.

They will have a better passing game with tebow gone if brantley is as good as they say he is. Tebow hurt the passing game this year

But I just wonder how much UF's offensive gameplan will change without Tebow

The playcalling will change, but the philosophy won't change much. Establish the run, get his play makers in space, etc...

The passing game will probably look a little different too, to take advantage of JB's skill set.

I won't be surprised at all if UF tries to run the ball 30 times on Tennessee next year. At least.

If Urban didn't have fears he wouldn't be lying on the ground passed out due to sleeping pills and chest pains with his wife calling 911. He is a type A personality and yes this is something that could get into his head and give him chest pains.

I have nothing but good things to say of Justin. In fact I will probably be one of the few to cheer for him as he walks onto the field. All I'm saying is stop saying Boise State had a great defense. William and Mary had a much better executed defense than BS had and they aren't even in the same division but we aren't gonna hire shoops or whoever is running it now a days. When you rely on records, wins and loses you lose sight of the human nature of the game. If we agreed on everything anyway it would be a pretty stagnant forum anyway.

He is a man and I'm sure he has fears like all of us, our program hiring a good young defensive coach I'm sure doesn't even crack his top 50

Yeh. Pretty obvious last year. They've got Deonte Thompson among many others coming back and Brantley beat Tebows team in the O+B game in 09.I'm afraid he's good. One things for certain, we will see a new QB and a different monster that is UF. Let's hope he sucks.

You're right. 14th in the nation defensively is terrible in an all offense league like the WAC. I was particularly disgusted that Wilcox allowed Oregon to gain 152 yards and 30 yards rushing for the game. That's only about 350 yards below their average. He must be a complete joke because we all know that Boise State had much better players than Oregon.

William and Mary would have obviously fared much better.

My point wasn't that Boise's defense was outstanding, my point was to get on board with the hire like everyone else. He's our DC now and needs just as much support as coach Dooley. Given the right talent, Wilcox may turn out as the next big thing. Only time will tell.

I can't provide a link, but I recall Dooley saying one thing that specifically impressed him about Boise State's defense was their intensity, i.e. they played every snap "as though their hair was on fire."
