Is it time to start selling beer at the games?

$10 for a Bud Light? I'll pass.

Thats the thing. Sell it. If you don't wanna buy, dont buy. Not gonna make number of drunk people go up. Would probably actually cut down on amount people drink before the game

Why not? Brings in money for the university, and. . . I'm trying to think of a downside, and it's just not coming.

Except for the group of drunk ignorant fans that end up shouting several different things to make our fan base look bad, but then again you can't really fix stupid.

There is no downside. Like the poster before said, if you dont want it, dont buy it!

There is PLENTY of downside, most people that don't want it also don't want to be sitting next to Bob who just got his paycheck and is buying 10 beers in the first quarter alone.... Selling beers, in my opinion, ruins the feel for a game. I lived up in New England for a few years and the Pats game were seriously ruined b/c of beer sales. For one, there are more fights that take away from people enjoying the game. 2) They only sell beers in the first half, so people try to drink two halves worth of beer in a shorter time period, which leads to people getting sick in their seats, falling over, etc...

It absolutely has a downside.. Keep it how it is, if you want to drink, be smart enough to conceal it and bring it into a game... Personally I've always thought that if you need to get drunk to enjoy football, then you got bigger issues.

I used to think so til the 2099 chik-fil-a bowl. Literally 4 different fights in by section. All induced by alcohol.

I was at the O&W game this year and I noticed something I had never seen in the bathrooms. In the MEN's restroom stalls there are small plastic containers on the walls! On the container there is a word written in black that reads "bottles".

There are so many small liquor bottles in the bathroom floor during game day that they actually put containers in the bathrooms for people to put the bottles in. Hmmm...i thought they didn't really notice the problem. I guess instead of actually trying to keep people from doing it they decided they would at least make it easier for the clean up crew.

I like getting to the strip 2 or 3 hours for the game and having 6 or 7 and BS with the other fans .

I really doubt that $10 Bud Lights contribute heavily to drunk, ignorant fans making us look bad. Those guys are all pregaming.
