Is it safe to say that anything less than 10 win season is a failure?

Fulmer left a bare cupboard---8 wins next year will be good, followed by some 9/10 win seasons the next couple of years until Kiffin stocks up on talent. Then, he'll start dominating the sEC.

I am as realistic as anyone in this world and I completely understand that in the SEC 10 win seasons are so hard to come by. But with the money we are shelling out to this coaching staff and the hype that is surrounding anything short of this will be considered by most a complete failure. My heart goes out to these guys because every message board and post seems to think that they are the second coming and we are automatically the cream of the crop once again. I just hope we support our new staff through thich and thin and don't call for their heads after reality sets in!

10 wins?

You don't have to drink all the Kool-aid on New Years, do you? At least save some for signing day...

I look at it this way. If Fulmer and Clawson had handled the offense properly last year, we win eight games. I think that is about the level of talent we have on the team, albeit with a glass ceiling because we're well behind the top teams in the SEC right now.

Everything would have to go right for us to win 10 games in '09. If he gets the wins that Fulmer left on the table last year, is competitive in the losses, and has a good year recruiting, then I'll be happy.

Ole Miss will be better than us.

They lost to Vanderbilt and South Carolina. That was with a pretty good QB. We beat Vanderbilt with essentially negative QB play. We should be able to play with them. If something happens to Snead, they are dead meat.

If you're of the nature that you're team should be like your NCAA 09 dynasty team that wins a national championship each year, then yes anything less then 10 wins is a failure

Realistically, a 5-7 team with a new coaching staff and had a near bottom offensive production the year before, 8 or 9 wins should be successful

my wyoming team has done it 4 years running. anything less than a natl champ is unexceptable

i disagree. we have everything we need to be a successful team, we just didnt have the ability or the brains to adapt on the offensive side
