Here's what this says to me... you're the back up plan just in case she can't find anyone better to put the ring on her finger in the next few years. If you're okay with that, then c'est la vie... but that's not how I would choose to live my life even if you end up "getting the girl". You'll always know you were second choice, and you'll always wonder if she's continuing to look for someone better.

Sorry to say it... but sometimes the truth hurts and it seems you need a good kick in the arse atm.
