Not that you are a Vol but because

1. Talked crap to Cal all year about the Pac 10 and the way we beat them and then LOST.
2. Losing to rival 1 Fla. LOST BAD
3. Losing to rival 2.Bamma LOST BAD.
4. Kentucky also? hope not.

I will always show my colors but I am embarrassed at the team's preformance because I know we are better than this.

What makes you think we are better than this? Secondary is crap and constant turmoil, ie Cocker. I think we are lucky to be in first in the SECE. Not for long mind you but, first just the same.:hi:

You are what your record is. We have had a few bad outings, and a couple of terrible games. We are inconsistent. I don't see how one can think that the GA game is the real Tennessee team more so than the Florida, California, and Alabama games. If TN was just having a bad day those days, then why can't it be said that GA was having a bad day? We are nothing great this year. Not abysmal, but not a usual Tennessee team. Accept it.

Feel whatever you want to feel, but put your hat on and keep your head up. You are a Tennesse Volunteer. All highs have their lows. These times shall pass. There is a new era on the horizon, all you have to do is stick through the transition.

secondary sucks , but I think they will end up being one of the best in a couple of years. You got to remember they were playing in high school last year. You cant expect much first year. NO problems at running back even if coker gets yanked, QB ? sounds like coleman is the next big thing. Linebackers and defensive front is where the concern should be. Im trying my best to look on the bright side , but it's hard right now.

We have glaring weaknesses, but just be glad that we get to question this football team from atop the SEC East right now.

I'm still waiting on at least one receiver who can get separation downfield and be a legit threat. That would open up our offense immensely. I've lost faith in it being O'Neal, but I'm sold on Jones if they could just get him on the field more. Sometimes though I wonder if Ainge even looks deep.

Actually we aren't. We are what we are. An average football team with a really bad defense. Our front 7 is atrocious and a few teams showed just how bad they are.

Why do we keep harping on the secondary. IT isn't the major contributor.

Our lack of a pass rush is the problem. Even a good secondary will look pathetic if you give the QB all month to throw.

It also doesn't help when the coaches tell your CBs to play 15 yards off the WRs.

As disappointed as I have been a times this season, I am wearing a Tennessee shirt right now.

what's the catalyst?

Scenario#1...

Kentucky and bowl game losses, which I give about a 60% chance of happening.

Scenario#2...

Retirement after next season, which I believe is inevitable.

Either way, I can wait. What I dread the most is the transition period playing out. That the end result is a new day, I am fine with.

I will NEVER be embarrassed to wear the Big Orange.

I may be mad about a game. I may be disapointed in the team, their effort, or the outcome. I may be mad at the coaching staff. I usually loathe the fanbase. But I will NEVER, EVER be embarrassed to be a Tennessee fan.

It's amazing people will start a thread like this, but won't mention beating Georgia, which is something almost everyone thought Tennessee couldn't do. They harp on losses to Cal and Florida who most people thought we WOULD lose to. They ignore individual achievement such as Daniel Lincon and Eric Berry. They only attack players like Coker and Hefney. They gloss over the fact Tennessee is in control of it's destiny and will more than likely return to the SEC CG yet again. (The most appearences of ANY OTHER SEC team.)

All that, and I'm still not embarrassed to be called a Vol fan alongside of people like you. But I am disgusted with it all.

We are 5-3 and in control in the SEC East. Its not like the SEC is really lighting it up as a whole this year with the exception of LSU.

I thought we would go 8-4 at the start of the year and I think we can still hit that although I would not also be surprised to finish 7-5 and end up in the Music City Bowl.

Remember, it could be worse...you could be a Notre Dame fan right now!

Without checking the facts, are you sure that UT would beat Alabama and Florida's record for SECCG appearences? I remember when I was reading the program before the 2004 SECCG that there were a lot of pictures of UF,UAt on the cover.

Not wearing a shirt today, but I still have my apartment flag up and door mat, at times I have wanted to rip both down and change to fall decor, but I still promote them!
