Its going to be hard to get excited or even enthusiastic about our next HIRE..only because I feel beaten to death by all this crap.Im going to need some convincing for awhile of the Loyalty of our next coach...don't want to get hopes up again and be cheated!

So I hope we find someone GREAT..but still, its going to take me awhile to be convinced.I'm going to need a track record & some TIME. THANKS KIFFIN! Ugh!

Well said, I think most if not all Vols are with you right now with your sentiments. We were riding a high a feeling very good about the future only to have to snatched away in a blink of an eye.

I heard a bit of talk from my contacts in recruiting circles about Tennessee looking for a caretaker type. Now I see talk on the Boston College board about their AD Gene DeFilippo coming in as a caretaker HC.

DeFilippo has old ties to UT, a rep as a "football" guy with an eye for good coaches. He also has a very clean image; this is important not just for UT's public image but, more importantly, the tenor of ESPN coverage.

I'll keep my ears out for more, but this is what I'm hearing to this point.

Peace,
OC

Yeah i here, i'm not even thinking about the new coach or when they hire him. Piss poor management of a proud football program.

Welcome to the board.

He makes a good hire, and we'll all be back on board with it. Stuff happens. Look at Alabama for years before they finally got Saban.
