Well usually I do not complain how "everyone" hates us, but today I read a story that said karma would get BB by getting hurt since he did not get in trouble with NCAA, this was on yahoo. Then lately I have been watching alot of recruiting videos and see nothing but people saying bad things about recruits since they chose to be a VOL. Is it just me or does everyone including most media really hate us!

I wouldn't go as far as saying everyone hates us, because believe it or not there are some people out there do like Kiffin and what he's doing and bringing to the program, be it very few of them...I will say though that someone wishing that Bryce would get hurt because of "karma" is a tid ridiculous

They really hate us. I think in part because of the fan base. Name another one who has loved their team as long as we have, loved a team that's been as relevant as often as the Vols have, and has the history and tradition that the Vols have. People are envious of that.

I think they hate CLK more than the university itself and will get worse after we start to win more games and have continued great recruiting classes year after year. :zeitung_lesen:

every fanbase thinks the media hates them.

really? if i ever hear a southern cal or florida fan ever complain about the media hating their team, i might just have to smack em. the media gets on their knees for those 2 teams. makes me sick.

I think most fans of other teams are more jealous than hate the Vols. Vols have been in decline for a few years but have been in the news and talked about more than most of the top ten teams since CLK came to UTK. With the media over blowing what should not even be any kind of stories (i.e. EB's brother committing to the Vols) I think got to be a runaway train type deal. Most fans are going to kind that BB got away with something because of all the crap that has been printed. When the Vols have a good season, could be 8-4/9-3 it will get worse. GBO

filling air time and wasting print until the season starts. Winning on the field is ALL that matters. Spurrier was a loud mouth jack*** but everyone gave him his due when he won like 5 straight SEC titles and a NC. Now he's as irrelevant as Chester A. Arthur. These people that wright puff pieces, jabber jaw on TV with their sanctimonious highfalutin Jaw jacking stupid back biting deity speak about that latest second coming football player with a "winning personality" can all shove it when Eric Berry pile drives whoever wants it right in the middle of Neyland Stadium.

Its cyclical, like all media coverage. Twenty years ago the media made fun of Florida, never quite able to compete with Miami and FSU, soft, not enough big tough guys on the line, getting in trouble here and there.

But then Spurrier came and he was the guy everyone loved to hate, amusing, made you laugh. And Florida was popular.

Then we had the Zook years and it was all about how we were back to also-ran status, no athletes in the skill positions.

And then you have the intriguing story of Leak and Tebow coming in, Meyer was interesting given his apparent turn down of Notre Dame for the UF job, and they were successful. And so was the basketball team at the same time, and Tebow has been so entertaining.

The media is a like a school of fish, rushing from one side to the next. Florida will find itself on the outs again soon enough and UT will be the media darlings once again at some point.

Really? Cause when I travel I don't see those teams represented like I do the Vols. But if you think their fan base is equal to Tennessee, ok.

It was the yahoo main page.

I read the story on Yahoo about him getting cleared but it said nothing about "karma getting him hurt". I wonder if the OP is confusing the comments after the story as part of it.

if it was true that you were the greatest fanbase in the history of mankind (ridiculous) does it make any sense whatsoever that a medium that makes money by the most people possible watching their programs, or reading their newspapers, would actually chose to anger that fanbase?
