Is it just me?

In every Tennessee game he calls, he makes sure to complain about the physicality of the game. Maybe he does that in all the games he calls though
It seems to me that the team that plays the most physical usually gets called for fewer fouls. The Vols definitely got the benefit of most foul calls in this game.

Not in the FAU game in March. After our Duke performance, there was so much talk about our physicality that they made a point to blow the whistle. We were called for more fouls, and their 7 footer did whatever he wanted.

I never pay attention to what the announcers are saying ..I watch the game, the commentary is jibber jabber to me....but I don't sit and look for something to bitch about either...

The paranoia and insecurity on this site from people is laughable. "ESPN hates us" or "CBS hates us" or "the committee hates us" or "the AP voters hate us" or "the coaches poll voters hate us" or blah blah blah.

I'm with you - I just watch the game. I honestly don't remember anything said today that made me think "they hate us" at any point. But too many here have the grassy knoll mindset about every single media member it seems like.

I heard mainly good things from his mouth for the Vols. I don't know what some of y'all are hearing lol.
I just turn the sound down unless it is a Tennessee homer doing the game. Cuts
down on the stress during the game. I usually stroke enough without hearing the announcers.

Most of these announcers get the games of certain teams more than others and those 8 or 10 teams whether sub-consciously or not have been endeared by them. Syracuse without Boeheim will slowly go off that favored list. The same thing for Danielson but he is even more obnoxious than Bilas IMO.

yall too sensitive, he complimented the vols alot
I like Bilas. He’s kind of the Herbstreit of college basketball, except Bilas doesn’t do as good a job hiding his Duke bias (which is understandable) as Herbie does being objective about Ohio State.

But both know the game and do a great job of pointing out the great traditions, strengths, and histories of the teams who are playing. I like both.

I dunno, as fans I just think we’re biased and believe the refs and announcers are out to get us. Syracuse fans thought Bilas was biased against them, too.

Yeah, he can talk out of both sides of his mouth. It depends on his pregame prognostications where his vision lies. Never a word about the contact on ZZ and Santi bringing the ball up or on OUR drivers, especially Special K was pretty telling to me.

That's a good comp. I don't care much for Herbie for the same reasons as Bilas, but I do agree that Herbie does a better job of hiding his bias.
