Correct on LSU. We are out on Helfrich. He apparently isn't much of a recruiter and has zero connections in the south.

Any thoughts on Sterlin Gilbert from Texas ? He really turned around their offense this year for the most part.. And he had a 2000 yard rusher in his backfield

He could fit

You sir don't want wool pulled over your eyes or your ears tickled....I understand and feel the same way. No faith in the administration or HC from what we've seen so far.

Boosters and administration have dropped the ball well before butch got here tho

A lot of good vols and nonvol fans on here but a lot of jerks that don't agree to one's point of view and calls others names or their blasts them for thinking differently. At my job we talk sports and everything else and if someone acts like some on here they would get roasted.

I agree. I think he will be here 2 more years at the least thanx to his contract extension. It runs til 2020. I don't see UT buying him out with more than 2 years left. The only way he leaves sooner is if he finds another job and his stock is plummeting more each game that is played. The only thing he can hang his hat on is beating Florida and that is nullified by losing to SC and Vandy.

Thank you so much for adding to this discussion. Now if anyone has anything of substance to add, by all means, let's hear it.

I'm sorry, I'm not done with this coaching regime yet and I refuse to be brought down by those who are. I'm certainly not satisfied with this season by any means, but I also remember the prior 7. We would've killed for 18 wins in 2 seasons not that long ago, and possibly 3 straight bowl wins. I'm not settling for mediocrity, but I'm not going to settle for the uncertainty of a coaching change either.

I gotta disagree..If Butch goes 8-4 or worse and loses to any of Vandy,SCe,UK or Mizzou combined with almost certain losses to Ala,LSU,Flor then he is pretty much gone.Not to mention toss up games with GA and Ga Tech. Just say he loses to Ala and LSU that makes him 0-5 Ala and 0-10 vs the West. Say we lose at UF that makes him 1-4 vs UF. And say we lose to GA so that makes him 2-3 vs GA. Then he better not lose to any of SCe,Vandy,UK or Mizzou. I think a lot hinges on what offseason moves he makes and they must be significant upgrades over this below Ave coaching staff he has right now. That would have given him 5 years and no SEC East title against a very weak SEC East, with loses to Ala,UF and GA that makes him 3-12 vs our 3 biggest rivals and assuming he beats Vandy and Mizzou that makes him 6-4 vs Vandy and Mizzou and 0-10 vs the West..With a new AD and having been given 5 years he won't get a 6th with 4+ losses next season.Not like we have a top 10 OOC game on our schedule.

If he goes 8-4 next year with a new qb, he won't be going anywhere and that is a fact.
