All you Bruce hatred need to shut the heck up. Just because he might get in trouble you guys wanna fire him. Just to let you know if he goes UT is screwed. He's the only one that can win and bring in money. Bruce is an awesome guy and look at all he's done with charities and outlive. These sanctions would be temporary and plus he'd still win

+1 hell yea. Pearl is the only bright spot we've had the past two years.

Baseball is a disaster and football was.

Bruce isn't the only one that can win at Tennessee, of course this conversation happens every day in the basketball forum.

Fulmer would be the Bernie Madoff of ADs. He would talk a good game and make all these promises, but in the end, the only thing everyone gets is depleted bank accounts and a good stiff screwing.

I hear ya buddy... It just gets so old hearing the same old stuff on fulmer.. It seem that most Tennessee fans continue to look back to the past for there happiness.. If fulmer was such a good coach after we won the National Championship then what the hell happened to our program after the fact.. Our team quality went to ****.. We have been suffering every since.. He could not recruit an unbrella in a rain storm... What a tangeled web fulmer has weaved...

This is what happened with PF after 1998. He went to pieces.

Madoff really?Well i heard through a friends sisters cousin that knows a booster really well that Fulmer is like 50th cousins with HITLERS friends maid and that he was on the grassey knoll in Texas where he met Mack Brown, and that it the connection that will get Wilcox to the burnt orange. Man this making baseless claims with no facts to back them up is really fun.:)

I am inclined to believe the rumors may be true. If so, this would indicate that he considers himself larger than the program or the university. He was always a good 8-4 or 9-3 coach when he had good coaches running his offense and defense, but the hand writing was on the wall. Our AD's job was to get our program turned around, and halt the decline. Mike Hamilton was right when he said that someone had to be responsible. And Phil does have this in his history, in case we dont remember how he got the job. He had never proven himself anywhere when he was named to replace coach Majors, who had proven himself at other places.

I can't see Pat, Doolander, or Bruce (if he is still around) working for Fulmer. Do you really want Fulmer to hire your next men's BB coach?

I don't want to see Fulmer hire the next groundskeeper. I don't want to see him associated with UT sports again in any way and i'm sure there are a lot more people that feel this way than people who want him nosing around here again. The way he has acted since being fired has made me lose any respect I had left for him.

I have 10 years to back up that Fulmer would fail at AD

the game passed fulmer by, not his asst. though. had he left dave clausen alone there is no telling what he could have done. he ran off cutcliff by not playing coleman, then he wouldn't let dave call his on plays. imo he would make chavis play the mustang package so not to give up the big play, then they would drive it down our throats. fulmer was his own worst enemy.

Thank God for due process and cross examination of witnesses in the American justice system.

Kinda like a Jerry Jones effect....would have his prints all over the football program. No good I say.

Fulmer: Well coach, you didnt do so good this week

Dooley: Well, we only lost by 3 to Florida and we have a depleted roster

Fulmer: Have you watched the film?

Dooley: I was at the game, I saw what happened

Fulmer: Clapping, Have you tried clapping? Always worked for me

Dooley: I'm not much of a clapper

Fulmer: Well, I think you should run more on 3rd and over 5 yards. It worked for me 10% of the time.
Sometimes you can catch the opponent off guard and get a 1st down here and there.

Dooley: Well, we try to spread the field on 3rd and long. We have found that the percentages increase when we throw on those down and distances

Fulmer: Did you know I won a NC in 1998?

Dooley: I havent heard that before

If you fired the store general manager for dismal sales, high turnover ratio of entry level employees, and a poor training staff; would you hire the same guy to be your CEO?

Just a thought.

Regardless of your personal thoughts on Fulmer (all mine are negative), Thinking Fulmer is qualified to be an AD b/c he was a football coach is the sam logic as thinking Hamilton is qualified to be our next football coach b/c he is the AD.

I appreciate what he has done for this program, and his heart.... But like you said he will not leave.. I realize that
there are alot of fulmer fans out there but damn just let it die.. We have got to start thinking outside the box.. Plus ole phil is still on the damn payroll..

he's engaged, just because he's trying to earn his keep.
Since he's already getting paid
