I know the consensus is he goes to Nebraska. But have we interviewed him and how much would it take to get his interest?

I have wondered this for weeks. I bet we haven't bothered to even contact him. If I was AD I would make him say no.

He's gone to Nebraska.. Has his conference championship and i bet it drops hours after or the next day. I'd definitely give the man a call though and see if you could throw about 6 mill his way to change his mind.. You got to try right?

Scott Frost will not end up at Nebraska- he will stay at UCF or take fisher's place at FSU.

You could be right. Why would he want to go there and try to recruit enough good players to be halfway competitive? I don’t think Nebraska will ever be relevant again. Regardless who the coach is

Hope you're right - I still hate those guys.

He would be if our AD thought getting the right hire done were more important that hiring SOMEONE RIGHT THIS MINUTE OR ITS THE END OF THE WORLD AND OUR RECRUITING CLASS WILL FALL APART!!!!!!

Seriously, this short-term thinking by the AD is killing me. Wait till Sunday. Interview Scott Frost. I'd be happy with Gundy, but there was never a reason we had to rush and panic with this search. Frost did not reject Florida; he simply rejected interviewing till the season was over, as a lot of coaches do.

He’s actually being extremely professional about the whole thing and if people can’t take a hint, I don’t know what to tell you.

He’s not talking to anyone so as to not to waste their time because he’s going to Nebraska.

So, instead of wasting a school’s time and playing with people’s emotions, he’s declining speaking with anyone.

It’s, I think, a very polite way to go about it.

I don't know. If these pieces fall then Midwest recruiting will be different. Last 15 years best option our there was Oklahoma. Now Stoops retires. Then if Gundy leaves for Tennessee and Bill Snyder is definitely retiring or worse soon. So Scott Frost at Nebraska would be a good option for those kids to play big time football.

Would be nice to piss off Nebraska AND Floridumdum at the same time!

No chance though. Even if there was, UT AD would blow it...

You want to complain about the AD making a "right this minute" decision when this board was filled with polls and threads about how we should've fired Butch after the Georgia game because we'd "fall behind others in the search" and then proceeded to explode even more when Florida fired McElwain before us, then badmouthed Mullen until he was the 4th or so pick of Florida?

We're going too fast!! No wait, we can't hire some one now!! Were paying way too much!! I can't believe we won't break down and spend enough to get a good coach!! No one will come here now!! We could get someone better, I can't believe we are going to settle....Jesus Christ. None of us are as dumb as all of us.

I forgot to add.....if you don't think Frost to Nebraska is done, check a Nebraska board.

They don't have rumors. They're not checking flights of athletic department planes. They're not panicking as other schools make their hires....etc, etc, etc.

They're going to sh*t their pants when their AD trots out Schiano :)

I don't really want frost. I think Nebraska would eventually come in and take him away from us if he had tons of success. Even if he didn't, it would always be a threat.
