I think anyone seriously throwing a hat in the ring for the best coach is almost forced to do it now because of Clemson's preemption.

Its all going to depend on the bama game. If they can somehow win vs bama I think tubbervile gets 1 more year. If he doesnt he will likely be gone. Of course if things keep going they way they are for auburn he might not get the chance to be bama.

I had a guy tell me 2 weeks ago that UT interviewed Tubbs when we played auburn. I told him he was crazy but who knows it couldve happened. I hope its not true

lets hope it was ears wanting to get back at auburn for the plane trip a few years ago and not UT going after him.

Yes. It is happening. A deal may not get struck, but the negotiations are underway.

My guess is this is more rumor bullsh*t, but if this has any truth to it my whole day is ruined. This hire would definitely make me pull my VASF donation.

Wouldn't shock me if Auburn canned him this week. Clemson ignited powder kegs all over the country.

Have not heard about the UTK angle but this may be the source for the Tubbs leaving story...

1440 AM Noon Round Table reporter Doug Amos claims to have been in touch with higher-ups, and he now states that he"believes CTT will not be AU coach next year, and the change will be mutual, and occur before season's end." Will be negotiation process, he says, regarding 6 Mil buy-out. Amos was a print/ TV reporter before radio, so he does have some contacts w/AU people.

Agreed. They have the money and the hunger (thanks to DAnny Ford) to go after anyone in the country. Lots of hands will be forced.

"Ears" is one of the best coaches in the south.

"Ears"was the last SEC coach to go 13-0.

Butch Davis isnt coming to Tennessee.

Lane Kiffin isnt going anywhere.

No NFL coach wants a college job that they didnt graduate from.

Get a life.

based upon?

"Ears"was the last SEC coach to go 13-0.

Fulmer went undefeated too. What did that get us?

Butch Davis isnt coming to Tennessee.

how do you know? Money and prestige are big deals.

Lane Kiffin isnt going anywhere.

Patently absurd.

No NFL coach wants a college job that they didnt graduate from.

which is why Pete Carroll is at USC and Butch Davis is at UNC. Do we need some more?

Get a life.
I'm good with getting a life when you get a clue.
