Anyone with a half clever mind could compare Dooley or anyone else with anyone. We could make up credible stories to compare him to Pearl, Obama, Vince Lombardi, Saban, CUM, Hitler or just about anybody.

So we cant talk about our inability to get the correct number of men on the field because our coach is in his first year on the Hill? So when can we talk about his coaching? In his 2nd year? Or maybe we have to wait until he's been here 3 years?

No, Buzz Peterson was a coach who inherited four quality starters from a 22-win, NCAA Tournament team and went out and went 15-16 in his first season.

Dooley is a coach who inherited a team which suffered heavy losses from a 7-6 team that got blown out in a second-tier bowl, and who is having a predictable losing season as a result of this.

Petersen was incompetent. Dooley should get 2-3 years before any assessment is made.
