Cutcliffe sure doesn't look like he's working like heck to prepare for UT's bowl game as he's taking in the Duke/Pittsburgh basketball game from his courtside seats tonight. This is just further proof that we should have told him to pack his bags for Durham upon making the announcement. He's not focused on helping us win.

Nah - it was worse when they introduced him as the Duke HC at his press conference. Saying something along the lines of it only takes a few days for me to get my gameplan for Wisconsin together... there isn't much too it or much to work on and he doesn't "think" he is shorting Tennessee by coaching the bowl and dealing with everything as the new HC.

I understand your point, but honestly is there typically a lot of preparation going on at 8:00 on a Thursday night 2 weeks prior to a game?

It's in his best interest to put up some points on Wisconsin. It would make things a lot easier on the recruiting trail if he can point to a big number and tell people that's what he will do at Duke.

I know Coach Cut is smart enough to know that the results of our Outhouse Bowl game directly impacts his stature with his new Dookie gig. If the offense sucks the powers that be at Duke will be going "what the hell have we done?"

:ermm: I think it is kinda strange that Cut is staying for the bowl game. He should have been shown the door.
Thanks, see ya.
Trooper on the other hand let em hang around and coach the wr's in the bowl game. God knows we will need all the energy we can get on the sidelines.
This bowl game could be a cluster %%%% waiting to happen.

I say round all the traitors up and send them out on the next greyhound. Nothing but distractions. By cutty, by supertrooper don't let the door hit you in the rear on the way out.

I still don't understand why they're traitors? Both received significant promotions and pay increases. I just don't get it...be happy for them.

really though, I think it's admirable that Cut is staying and honoring his commitment to the Vols this season. Why and how people can continue to complain about him staying to call the plays is beyond me. He gives us the best chance to win, by far and if anyone fails to see that then they really need to take a closer/more rational look deep inside and realize that they are a complete moron. Give the man some credit.

I agree. Heck, if anything, it will lead to a more wide open offense. What's he got to lose?

We seemed to do ok the last time he left us. He should be out and TT as well. I would rather chance a loss than keep Cut on, He needs to take care of business at Duke.

We had Randy Sanders in place when Cut left the last time. Who do we have to call the plays now? CPF? I'm curious...

Sanders simply ran Cuts offense, it's not that complicated, bubble screen on 1st dn, Foster up the middle on 2nd & 9, then 3yd out route on 3rd & 7, punt on 4th.

I honestly thought by the University bringing back CUT that he was in line for Phil'S job....he probably got tired of waiting oh Hamilton to make up his mind.
