Is Currie unaware?

In my eyes this was no doubt a big F U from Haslam and Currie for sinking the Schiano hire.*

They went from Schiano straight to Mike Gundy. Coincidentally, a guy that TN tried to hire before and used TN to get a raise. They put that big money number out publically to give the appearance we are all in now. They knew he would turn it down and then they could say we tried. See, your way isnt any better than ours.*

If they really wanted to throw 7 mil at Gundy and try to get him here, why didnt they start there?*

Guys, Im afraid this MFer wont have a chance of being anything until there is nothing left but smoldering pile of rubble. The boosters and fans have called the Haslams bluff and now they are returning the favor.

But that's just it. We learned today that Florida has also talked to Gundy before they hired Mullen. And it never came out because they were discreet about it.

But with Tennessee, it's live-streaming and tracking planes. These guys are amateurs.

A competent AD could talk to Gundy for about 20 minutes on the phone and realize that he's not serious about leaving Oklahoma State.

Recent history and facts not on their side...UT won't change til they're gone. Unfortunately they will see next season when people stop going to games, top recruits show no interest, and we become a worse looking skeleton of ourselves. All we can do is let it happen and let them deal with their own mess. Unless they bring some homerun hire out tomorrow (wont) or someone that shows theyre trying the fanbase will be lost forever. From the potential names they are picking from we are about to transition to a second decade of decay and it will permanently damage this school.

Currie and Hazzy aren't going to win any coach over. It has nothing to do with Tennessee they have everything to succeed except leaders that care about the product more than their own power and control. Haslam is killing UT. Fire Currie NOW and tell Haslam no more control. Until that happens the pressure needs to keep coming from all sides.

And all this in-house fighting is really making UT unattractive to any good coach. We're screwed basically.

He and Davenport are clearly in over their heads.

Could you imagine a Brian Noland- chancellor and David Blackburn AD combo working for us now????

I’d feel a lot better about our chances going forward with athletics all the way around not just football but we would have a great coach hired. And to think this was all stopped by a Haslam!!!

I’ll never buy anything else at a pilot/ flying J ever again. I’ll over pay for fuel at a Mom n pops 10
minutes outta the way 1st.

Let him hire some no name $hit bird. I'll keep my money and my time

That's a decision I have already made. After Sunday's $hit$how I am resolved to simply dumping my season tickets after 50 years. Life's too short anyway and I care about this crap too much.
