This topic....again. This has been posted about multiple times already. The general summation is that Crompton has been here the longest, has the best grasp of the offense, and plays with a mean streak. But, his arm strength has never fully recovered from the shoulder surgery. Stephens has the best arm of the candidates but is not as accurate and has very slow feet. His decision making might also hinder him. Then you have Coleman, who most think has the most total package talent out of the contenders. His arm is stronger than Crompton's and more accurate than Stephens. He also has great feet and good speed. But he is only a freshman and that might hold him back.
In conclusion, we dont know right now. The only thing we can assume is that the coaches will give Crompton every chance to step in and take over.
I hope Fulmer has learned something with Rogan and Berry.
Just because Crompton is a junior and Coleman is a freshman, that doesn't mean that Crompton should get special treatment. Let the best "football" player play. Let the best playmaker play. I don't care who has seniority. I would hope they put the best player on the field. Enough with this crap about football players having tenure. But at the same time, I don't want the competition to be just about who has the better metrics, either. Yeah, Stephens has a stronger ball. Yeah, Crompton is a faster. Yeah, Coleman has the prototypical height. I don't care about height, size, arm strength, or quickness or any of that NFL Combine stuff. Just get a guy that can make plays.
I am sure you will complain no matter who wins.
Rasputin, you posting an opinion in a QB thread would be like me trying to give my opinion to Alan Greenspan about the federal reserve. Your analysis on Ainge has caused most of us to just skip right over anything you have to say about the QB position.
