Is Coach Fulmer's job safe now?

If CPF takes UT to a BCS bowl victory, he'll more than likely retire.

If CPF wins the East, loses in the SECCG and loses the bowl game, things will get interesting in Knoxville

I'd say if he lost 5, he would be out considering the the rivalry games this year. I don't think he plans on retiring. I also say if we blow the east, although UT seems safe, he will be gone.

He'd rather retire and leave on a good note than be ran out of town after another so-so season, I promise you that.

If UT doesn't play in Atlanta this season, he should be fired. Losing to UK and Vandy is not acceptable

phil's not going anywhere why would he leave a great paying job where he doesn't have to work that hard he's got it made in the shade and knows it

You're so right. Being a CFB coach is one of the easiest jobs around.

Why is that a bad thing? It gives CPF the ability to go out on top if he chooses. I would rather a coach leave like that than be run off by disgruntled donors.

I may have mis-read his post.

I think this team has taken the criticism of CPF personally, seems like every negative article provides bulletin board material for the team. I think we win out, but I hope the team keeps their emotions high through these next two....

Fulmer's situation is like the stock market. Important part is not when to buy, but when to sell. Seems like there may be alot of schools looking for coaches this year. Most important is who will replace him if and when he leaves. Whenever he leaves, let's hope there is another Saban-type in the wings.

And he's using Shula's players. Wonder how he would do with our talent. You're in Memphis...he just got a commitment from the #1 kid in Tenn...kid from ECS. But, looks like Fulmer is turning it around....

He is not safe yet. Lose to Vandy and UK and see how safe he is. Really if he does nto win the East it ends as a complete failure as far as I am concerned.

After today the only way he gets fired if we lose every game we have left...vandy, kentucky, bowl game. After, he's done enough to survive another year.

I think his job is only safe for another year if we win the east and at least be competitive against LSU in sec championship game. If we lose to vandy or KY he is out. especially vandy.. that would be our 2nd loss to vandy in 3 years.
