Is CBD oil all that?

My 17 year old son is suffering from sciatica due to an injury last summer. He is getting chiropractic treatment which provides temporary relief. I'm considering CBD gummies, but, these things are expensive and there are a ton of products available. I can't afford to experiment too much to find a good product. I am turning to my Volnation comrades to provide advice about your experience with these products. I don't trust the reviews I read anywhere, but it would be different on Volnation. Go Vols!

I agree about the snake oil. I tried a brand for a while, but, didn't notice any results. I didn't know that pharmacies carried the stuff, though.

I only have my one anecdotal story. My mom swears by it for her arthritis. I was over at her house one day and she had just gotten some 600mg gummies in the mail. She gave me a bottle even though I didn’t think I needed it for anything. I’d heard all kinds of stories about anxiety relief (which I don’t need) and boosting daily energy (I definitely need) so I figured I would try it out.

Here’s the kicker. At the time I was having some severe neck pain when I turned my head to the left. It had been going on for a few weeks and was even waking me up at night from hurting so bad. The only thing I can attribute that quick turn around to is the CBD gummies.

Has he had an MRI? When I was 22 I ruptured a disk that was pushing on my sciatic nerve. Doctors thought I just pulled something, wanted me to do physical therapy. When I couldnt go to school, couldnt work, and couldnt sleep because of the pain and was basically in tears every day my Dad called and demanded they refer me for an MRI. Had surgery a week later. My neurologist said he didnt even see how I was walking around.

Just something to consider, hope he gets well. Would not wish that pain on anyone.

Well, you made an impact today, my friend. We are trying to find a place to get an MRI (prices vary wildly and I have to pay out of pocket). And then get an orthopedic opinion from there. We'll keep going with the CBD in the meantime. Thanks.

Good luck to you. I believe if you get a referral from him PCP insurance will pay for a large portion. If it is a disk issue then no CBD will not help. Nothing will

Same here. Raleighish. although, NC has quietly reduced the penalty for small amounts of cannabis (no where near what other schedule one drugs can draw, I assume). However, state legislator are still stuck in the fifties regarding medical marijuana. Probably, believing legalization might threaten their monopoly on state controlled alcohol sales. They don't even want legal hemp growing because they can't distinguish it from pot.
