If we lose to South Carolina then Alabama the following week do you think Butch's is done????? Not trying to be negative but I can only see at the most 2 more wins.

I'm not entirely sure he survives a loss tomorrow, let alone Bama. My guess is that he's canned after his next non-Bama loss. Not sure if it will become public at that time, but he'll likely be told a change is needed. Right now, he can technically finish with a better record than he's ever had at Tennessee with an assumed loss at Bama. But we all know that isn't happening. So, I'd guess a loss to USCe or Kentucky in 3 weeks seals his fate.

He loses tomorrow he should be done tomorrow. I didn’t expect us to beat UGA, as I knew we would take a step back without Dobbs Houdini at QB. Even felt that Dormady would struggle to fit because of the style of QB that our offense was used to playing with.

However, 41-0 at home is inexcusable.

Unless the team quits on him, I don't see a benefit of making a move before seasons end. Unless you can bring Kelly or your new coach in right away, what's the benefit? Prospective coaches are watching how the AD is handling this. Patience might be the best move.

Turn out the lights.....

The party's over...

My dad used to sing that line every time he'd been sand bagging and was about to go out in rummy. Made me so mad. Haha. Hadn't thought about that in years.

But yes, it's over for Butch.

He's done after Bama, assuming he loses tomorrow. They'd do it after SC but they don't want to send an interim to Tuscaloosa. It would be impossible to get the team behind an interim that gets slaughtered first time out.

No one knows although you will see many personal wishes in this thread expressed as fact. Probably the KY and Vandy game we will know for sure.

Some good schools will be shopping this offseason. The further ahead of that rat race we can get, the better.

Again, how are we "getting ahead"? We aren't going to get a replacement until after the season ends regardless. Beng the first to fire our coach does what exactly? We can use back channels to gauge interest now so I still don't see the advantage to firing him now.
