Based on today's scrimmage reports with Brown running over, around and through defenders, and CLK stating that if Bryce stays healthy, he will play "AT a very high level in the NFL"-------Do we have a Herschel on our hands? Evidently Brown was the #1 rated nationwide recruit for a reason. Comments?

Don't do that to Bryce. It could have the Crompton effect. We all thought Crompton would be the next Peyton and look where that got us.Don't prematurely compare Bryce to the greatest SEC running back of all time.

God I do hope we have a Herschel on our hands, but to say that at this point is very premature

I was at the scrimmage and he was very very impressive. I am looking past the 4 carries too. His blocking is great. He is very good. Idk if he will be the next HW, but he will be great. IMO He will be #2 on the DC really quick when he is eligabe.

Re-read the thread. It asks a question, which you did not answer. Suggested answers----Yes, No, Maybe, I don't know, Wait and see, Look at the film, ect. I made no comparison-----just asked for reasonable comments. :whistling:

I dont think you were young enough to see Herschel play or else you would not ask the question. The answer is absolutely not.

A RB is only as good as his offensive line. Even though Herschel was a great athlete, his line was also good that year. Let's not forget Bo Jackson as well. Another great athlete. I remember in 2001? or 2002 when we got Jabari Davis, Cedric Houston, Derrick Tinsley, Keldric Williams and ALMOST got Cadillac Williams. I believe 3 of them were in the top 15 and all were in the top 150. We all know where that ended up. I believe in Brown just by what the others say, but to say he is another Walker or Jackson is a bit loco at this point. Here is to wishful thinking though.

Tennessee was whipping Ga till HW entered the game. Herschel didn't need much help---he made his own holes.

Uh, ok? I agreed with a simple answer to the op's question and didn't feel that an elaborate explanation was needed.

Sorry----thread went from asking for comments--haven't seen any on LK assessment--which was surprising to me-- before the guy has played a down---To basically supercilious mutterings. There WAS a question in there somewhere.
