Is Bray a lock to start next year?

Well hell I wish we would go ahead and offer the kid. It might make Bray and Stephens compete harder next year.

well depends, I'm not sure when coaches can start offering Jucos...but this staff's going watch him and not only going to have to like him but think that he's the right fit for their offense style and scheme or else they're not going to do it....that's what I get/feel at least from that one incident w/ kiffin talking to tajh boyd

but witout a line he cant do jack nor sh*t

As bad as we think the OL is this year, it's hard to think that their backups are going to be the starters next year. Shaw might be solid by then. Douglas looks like he's gonna be the real deal, but he'll only be a sophmore. We have no center. Brimfield- meh. Pope will be one of the veterans and it doesn't sound like he's even close to seeing the field now. Thomas, Schofield, and Hood may be good one day, but they are so young...

It is imperative we get a couple of JUCO OL...

Why wouldn't Bray start as a Freshman? Barkley and Forcier seem to be doing pretty bang-up jobs for their teams as Freshmen.

If he's better than what we have, or might possibly get, then he'll start. Kiffin has made that pretty clear I think.

UT has already offered JUCO OL John Cullen and Chuckie Curry...

With the horrible and I mean horrible play by Crompton means Stephens isnt any better. Does this means it will be Brays job to lose?

JMO, it will be suicide to start a true freshman quarterback next year. NEXT YEAR will be worse than this year. Playing a true freshman could kill his confidence and chance for future success. OL will be very bad.

It is doubtful that NS can be better than JC.

The rebuild is a complete recruiting cycle for staff. Be 2012 before you can think about competing with Florida. Winning east is first step to trying for SEC championship.

Hold on. We will get back. Just will be a while

With 2 years in the offense under his belt by the time he starts next year, it's tough to think he will be worse as a QB. Your right though, O-Line will suck it up next year even with the 2-3 JUCO guys I believe we will get.

Maybe worse not right term. Things are not going to get significantly better at QB for quite a while. They are what they are.

I think that Bray has the physical tools to turn into an ALL-SEC type QB, but our problem with QB's right now is more mental than physical.

Interesting comment. 5 years ago at this time, that was the general thinking all across the country with our # 8 guy... :)

True, but I think the thought process that Crompton was overrated in the recruiting process is continuing to gain ground this season. I remember hearing about his mental lapses before he came here and the fact that most thought his competition wasn't the best either.

The whole game yesterday I was switching over to the michigan game and watching their freshman QB make decisions and look off receivers and ultimately throw the winning TD with 11 seconds. It made it that much more painful to watch our senior qb fail to do the same.

It wasn't entirely his fault, but he made no effort to improvise or make things happen.

If Bray can come in and make things happen, even if it doesn't always succeed, I would be all for it.

I do agree that with our O-line it may not matter who is back there.

Bray will be at UT in January. He will put on plenty of weight in those 8 months before the season starts. It's his job to win, unless a change is made this year and Nick "the Ginger" Stephens has a good year on field and leads us to some wins. Bottom line.

Well.. he still needs to sign in Dec or Feb. We'll get some decommits if Saturday proves to be more of the rule rather than the exception.
