Is Bama next?

Actually, all the tOSU NOA deals with is trading stuff for tatts. And the bulk of it is pinned on Tressel.

And remember, if the FBI hadn't raided the tattoo shop, T Pryor and Tressel would be getting ready for the upcoming season. The NCAA had their work done for them. Absent a raid on this clothier, I fail to see how one could prove that Bama players got suits or cash for their swag. Assuming that Saban hasn't been sitting on month's worth of emails, of course.

It's pinned on Tressel cause he lied. Just like Bruce Pearl here, what he did was minimal at best. If he hadn't lied about it he would still be our coach. The cover up is usually always worse than the violation.

Correct. As of yet, there has been no indication of a cover up by Alabama. Not saying it's not possible, I'm simply saying that there is absolutely no proof of it.

Can you paste a link to one of those sites? Everything I've seen so far does not indicate that he's sold anything signed by, or received from, current players. It appears that it's for display purposes only. If he's selling that stuff, it certainly would change some things.

I didn't wanna go back and read them all but doesn't one of the articles linked on this page say that UA asked the guy to stopping selling autographed stuff cause it could be a violation?

No, no proof but if the past few months has taught us anything, its more than likely gonna get worse. Just going by the OSU stuff, something new was coming out everyday. I'm not a physic but it doesn't look good for the crimson elephants.

It says selling, distributing for commercial purposes, or using for marketing/advertising. So far, I haven't seen a photo or link that shows him selling the gear or signatures of current players. Plenty of stuff displayed, but none for sale.

Difference: From day 1 in the tOSU saga, we knew that a violation had been committed since the FBI had raided the tattoo shop. As of right now, we don't know any such thing about Alabama.

I'll admit, these players need to start thinking before they do stuff like this. The appearance of impropriety is not something Bama needs, to say the least. But as of yet, there is absolutely nothing that has been posted or reported that indicates a violation occurred.

Once again your missing everything i am saying. first do you honestly think they would be in and out of that place for 15+ years just to go in and sign some autographs then head back home after that? Im guessing no. Clay Travis said the website was up and had the items for sale on them. once this all came out down went the memorabilia that was up there. If indeed this did exist he can take them down all he wants but it can be traced back. and also there were signed Jerseys with the players names on them in a kiosk. And sports by brooks is reporting the letter sent my alabama was not to the Suit warehouse, but to the kiosk those jerseys were up and for sale at. and also is the Mark Ingram's heisman suit up and being sold there also. Also reported by sportsby brooks. Just gets better and better. And ask yourself when you were a 18-20 yr old would you be hanging out with older people that werent family? And at a mens suit store? No way..I sure the hell wouldnt and doubt too many would. And Ingram came back the next year after the suit was up for sale. Its all over knoxville radio about it, you can hit it up online.

I heard there were pics of this guy at various establishments eating dinner etc, this guy being a booster by definition treating players to a meal would be a violation though not too serious. Are there any other allegations I'm not aware of?

That's my point, we knew there was a violation from day one but no one knew how bad it was gonna get. Right now Alabamas issues look minimal but realisticly, it could get a lot worse. Once a story breaks and goes public, people start comin outta the wood work and will talk to anyone that will listen. Auburns stuff went from, did Cam get paid to former players comin out sayin they were given $300 and up for good performances in games.

I've read all of Clay's reports, and unless I skimmed past it, none of them say anything about the gear or signatures of current players being up for sale on the guy's website.

If one or both of the letters were sent to the kiosk rather than the store, what does that prove? The same guy owns both, and he's the guy the letters were addressed to.

Are you saying that Ingram's suit was available for sale prior January 1st of this year? If so, please provide some kind of link or proof.

The new stuff today is just making it worse. with the letter going to the Kiosk and not the Mens Suit store. And them having Ingrams suit up along with numerous signed jerseys with players names on the back of them, which is definately a no no.They start small then stuff continues to come out more and more.

There is a pic of him out to dinner with Trent Richardson; I think it's dated January of 2010. Unless this dude is a stickler for documentation, I highly doubt a receipt will be available to prove who paid for what.

Alabama has already had one former player, Chris Rodgers, who's come out and said that the clothier made it clear that he would not discount or give away merchandise to players. That's only one guy, but no one has yet to roll on Bama like they did on AU.

Ask and you shall receive. The link above is just for you. just scroll down the page a little and you see the Ingram stuff. clay said it on an interview here in Bham about the site memorabilia being taken down. if true it will all come out. cant wait to see what kind of excuse you can make out of the Ingram stuff. I mean really its getting sad man, you cant keep making excuses and honestly believe them. Its ok being in denial you can join your auburn buddies Bama fans have spend months making fun of and talking smack about. Now you guys can share stories.

This isnt even about the suits anymore. Its getting much worse than a few free suits. And of course what do you expect him to say. And I love the Ingram pic with him trying to keep the pic from being taken.

Let's look at this from a common sense point of view, is it not extremely odd that a bunch of student athletes would hang around this guy and his place of business for no other reason than to do this guy a solid and sign memorabilia? It's obvious improper benefits of some kind were given but proving that is another animal.

Work firewall is killing SbB. Can someone paste the important facts? Specifically, was Ingram's suit for sale prior to his final game at Alabama, and given that the suit actually belonged to the clothier, was Ingram somehow involved in its sale?

And the plot thickens. :)

Yes it does..Im sure the Bama dude will have some ungodly excuse for it. Prob say "How do we know its his suit". And why would he be there the day before headed to Pasadena? Spending money? Cali is an expensive place to visit.

The suit was up after the Heisman presentation happened. . Way before he played any of his Jr year games. Has him with the suit on and trying to hide his face or trying to block the camera. yes the same guy owns the kiosk and the mens suit store. But the letter clearly stated it was for the kiosk and not the store. lots and lots of pics up.

Again, the fact that it was sent to the mall kiosk is nitpicking. Especially if a lot of the signed gear was showing up at the kiosk. The same guy owned both stores. It's not like we sent it to the University Mall Starbucks and asked them to pass it on.

As far as Ingram's suit goes, if he was involved with the sale and/or benefited from the sale, then that is certainly an issue. The fact that the store sold its merchandise is not a huge deal, even if they gave it a "Heisman-winner" mark-up. Some DA Bama fan would gladly fork over his life savings for something like that.

Lol, ok so now ingram gets his suits there too, now that's groundbreaking
Posted via VolNation Mobile

LOL..Yep thats not groundbreaking..Its the suit hanging up for sale after that is the problem. And he still played a full year after. Trust me I have lived among Bammers for years and know the routine. deny deny deny, then when it happens ***** about getting caught and blaming everyone else for it, Karma is catching back up with ya. I know no matter what is said or what evidence shows up there will be something said by Bams that will lead to nothing happening and that they did nothing wrong. And thats cool, but i think I will wait to see what the NCAA thinks. And doubt its going to be good, they are already pissed and with Bama's history with the NCAA it cannot end well. They eventually have to say enough is enough. This university just cannot do it right. It sux for you.
