Too much like a college frat boy while in his mid 40s. I do get he was enjoying his first taste of big time success, but that actually became an issue for him
He changed here. No doubt about that. The guy who arrived here, while a bit of a clown, was ultimately hungry and relatively humble (at least as far as coaches go, a profession where most don’t know the meaning of humble). The guy who left was an entitled clown who felt he was above reproach. Great coach, but I don’t miss his antics and attitude. Some of his nut huggers will disagree, but give me Barnes every day of the week of Pearl. Results are more or less the same and Barnes doesn’t do anything to embarrass the program and brings in good men, both assistant coaches and players.
