Is anyone even surprised or upset?

I mean I use to scream and cuss the tv when we played bad and jump up and down and scream if we had a great play. Today I found myself not even giving a damn. I hardly watch any of the first 54 mins of the game.

Upset. Not that we lost, oddly enough, but upset with the coaches decision to stick with Crompton. It's baffling really.

Where's the logic? Where I'm from we call it insanity.

Surprised? Only that we covered.

Upset? Will remain so until we return to championship contention.

You know I have become so jaded with Fulmer that I'm neither anymore. That Bama game last year soured me on Fulmer and I expect nothing more from him than what were getting now.

I love my Vols...but there is a limit to what I have to watch...so, time for a bit of a sabattical for me...I don't like how this makes me feel. Everybody loses and I feel bad when we do, but this is not losing...this is engaging in something that makes no sense to me after watching my Vols for over 45 years...

I am SHOCKED that they still continue to play Crompton. It CANT get any worse than 8 of 23 for 60 something yards.

Surprised. Yes. Auburn was atrocious and gave us 10 opportunities to win that game. I'm mad as hell that we never changed to take advantage of their D.

I mostly pissed at Chavis for going to cushion mode on that 3rd and 5 play. If it wasn't cushion mode, I expect to see some new corners next week.

A lot of the emotion was taken out of it. I was not shocked at all when we couldn't get a field goal. The more I see of Crompton, the more I expect a loss to Vanderbilt by about two touchdowns.

Another bad day for Phil. He has no balls. Why would he not bench Crompton. Crompton is the worse quarterback I have ever seen in the SEC.

It's funny a thread like this was started. I was thinking the same thing. At halftime I called that we would have all the opportunities in the world to win this game but the ineptness of Crompton would cause us to lose another one we should've won. I used to go crazy during a game, but today all I could do was laugh when we started 3 drives in Auburn territory in the 4th quarter without being able to get just a few yards for a FG opportunity. I thought that Crompton couldn't play bad enough to warrant a start from Coleman or Stephens, but I have changed my mind. When a QB can't complete ANY passes then it's time to look elsewhere.

Apathy is setting in for me. Looking forward to the Georgia/Alabama game.....and on top of it all I'm stone cold sober.

I was neither surprised nor upset. I watched this game with a total lack of any emotional response no matter what happened on the field. I still love the Vols, but I find myself with NO emotional stake in the games anymore. I wish I were mad, or disapointed, or surprised, or anything. Something needs to happen so I can begin to care again.

If you recognize my avitar then you know how long I have been following the vols. In other words, much longer than most of you have been alive. The comments on this thread pretty much sum up how I feel. Only a few of you can remember the McDonald years, but those few of you who can know where we are in terms of Tennessee football. There must be changes at the top or we will be in for more of the same. It is so sad when so many of us just don't care that much anymore. I really don't know what more I can say. Sad, so sad.

This was exactly why I started this thread..........

I feel the same way!
